I'm doing a survey on dieting and exercising and want to get some opinions from everyone! What is the best method of exercising that you have found to help you tone up your body and or to lose weight. Do you have a routine that you use? Thank you everyone for your opinions!

Gee I wish I could help with this, but exercising and dieting I could never do. I've tried to diet every now and than. And one time I tried the 3 hour diet. where you eat every 3 hours. have a good breakfast, and every 3 hours you eat an apple, orange, anything. for instances you want to eat pizza, you eat one slice. Next time you eat, have a fruit, veggie. It did work for me, but I kept forgetting to eat on the 3rd hour. let me know if this works for you.

running or fast walking is one way to do it but can be time consuming as well.you have to do a lot of walking to actually get the benefits from it. You need to do cardio exercises and do them in reps. Meaning you have to do more than one some of the easiest exercises you can do can be done right in your home. First you can stand up in a straight position holding in your stomach slightly to hold a little resistance in your abs area. Then do knee bends or squats as most call them. The other is to stand upright and bring your knees to your abs but you have to as many as you can and do three sets of them EX: if you can only do 25 knee bends, then do three reps or sets of them only giving a short break between. there are many exercises you can do that are just that easy and get great results. Find you a good shake drink as a substitute and try to stay away from bad habits that made you to want to start dieting in the first place. Water Water water.... Key thing when you are exercising. I will keep that in mind when exercising. The problem with walking or running is my bad foot/ankle. It keeps me from doing a lot.

Hi friend, i joined gym last week. Before i used to walk at morning. But when it seemed ineffective i joined gym. Before going i had 64 kg. Saturday came to 59 and today it come to 58. Now my abs reduced well. First week i was very tied. Now i'm ok. Thanks

Well to loose weight running or walking works wonders. To tone, I have found Yoga and pilates have changed the shape of my body within a few weeks. I can see muscles in my arms and definition is starting in my legs. I am 40 years old, 5'3" and weigh 123lbs.

That's great! I tried doing Yoga and Pilates once and couldn't get the hang of it. I may give it another try. Thank you!

I found surya namaskaara and doing few yogaasanas really boost up your mind and body. Doing eye exercises makes you feel comfortable with your eyes. Doing exercises to your joints relaxes you a lot. for back pain you can do exercises as well to relax you back.
I was doing regular exercises those days and right was bit busy doing mylotting. :) But have to start it again after reading this discussion. :)

Hi loves,
I am trying to lose 10 lbs and I would say, I am not yet successful after 6 months..LOL! I have tried using a shake before and for less than a year, I lost 10 lbs and 2 inches in my waist..But, I can't afford to maintain it, I stopped thinking I can do it by myself..LOL! I earned back my 10 lbs and this is what I am trying to work this time...Morning, i am only taking cereals with 15 mins exercise..I know I need to make it longer but I have no patience doing it alone...LOL!
Lunch, fruits and some rice with any viand available, then dinner, a very light one! anything that is available in the house..
It's going up and down, losing 2 lbs then gaining it back..I do know what else I would do, maybe longer exercise!

are you want to lose your weight? i have losed my weight for 7 catty,and i don't do a lot of exercise. just ride a bike quickly for several second,and when you relax,and then ride quickly again. i just ride for 15 minutes because that is the time i ride bike to home form work.or i ride bike to work form home. and i also eat food not too much. if you eat a lot of food you will not lose your weight,but it will increase your weight. and i eat a lot of fruit that will not feel hungry and can also let me eat less food. and i also eat too much water instead.so if you do that i have said,you will lose your weight easily.happy a good day and enjoy in mylot.

My body is on the large frame & I have tried so many diet & exercise techniques....It all works for me but my body will return to large frame when I feel that I had lose s many weights & I had reach my goal.
I guess the only best technique is to set my mind on my primary goal & discipline myself.
