Do You Allow Your Teens To Hang Out Until Midnight?

Do They Have A Curfew? Or They Can Go Home Way Past Midnight? When I was a teen, my dad imposed a curfew. He said I'm a girl and girls were not to be seen way past 12 midnight. It's horrible, he said. Guys might think of me as an easy girl. Those days, there were lots of news about girls being kidnapped, raped and salvaged. I can go to a party provided I'd be home by midnight and a friend should drop me off.. I don't know yet how I will deal with this when my kids are all grown up..but for sure, I'll be imposing a curfew too..but not as strict as my dad's.. How do you deal with yours?

we had the same situation when i was a teenager. he used to imposed rules including that curfew thing. but eventually, i realized, my parents is right. if we don't have curfew before maybe something wrong that had happened to me. i am really thankful because i was raised disciplined and cinservtive.

I thought so too..Maybe If my dad didn't do that, I would be a real mess today..thanks..

i dont think i will allow them to go out until midnight... i think i will like them to call if they want to stay up later. but for girls i will want 11.30 and boys 12 midnight... but i will agree to them being late within reason

that's the proper thing to do, i think, for kids to call their parents whenever they will be a little late in going home, but as you said, only with a valid reason. At least, parents will not worry as to what might have happened..thanks...

at nineteen..staying in india...i do hang out..but m xpected 2 b bak pretty early///only on spl occassions can i stay out late..like u said...with the condition that ill b dropped by a frnd...n my parents hav 2 no properly d ppl i m with...metro cities in india r still liberal..though not very safe..but i tell ya..chennai is a city which is so conservative that hostels pose a curfew of 6 pm 4 gurls!!!beat that!!thats d tym i go out wen m at home!!phew!!!
