More than 50 percent of computer users experience eyestrain, headaches, blurred vision and other visual symptoms related to sustained use of the computer. This kind of stress on the visual system can lead to body fatigue and reduced efficiency at work. Apart from these, there are recent indications that heavy computer users are at risk for glaucoma. Are you one of the 50% who suffer these bad effects? Please share!

Hi There,
Between work and home I spend at least 12 hours a day in front of the computer. This just has to have some effect on my body. It is not always a good effect unfortunately. I do get blurred vision at times. Also, I tend to get dizzy after being on it too long. I think it is because the head is facing down all the time and then rising it up leads to dizziness.
cheers,

Better do some eye exercises to help you eyes and do some walking and stretching in between.

I think I belong to the 50% of those affected. I often have headaches after doing some computer stuffs. I guess I have to wear my eyeglasses again. I just can't control myself, when I'm infront of my laptop. There were times that after using my PC for a long time, my eyes got blurry.

At first I stayed on here for several hours, but I have cut it way back. I had aching back, tired eyes etc. So when I made my 500 quoto, I decided to cut back. I come on an post a few and get off. I refused to over do it.
I will continue to post daily, but not in large quantities.

Good decision! No need to overdo for as long as you keep connected, that's fine!

I also believe that being in front of the computer for almost the whole day is one reason that I don't have clearer vision right now. When I went to my doctor, she said that I have to stop using my eyeglasses. It is a bit earlier she said, for my ages. I also got frequent headaches...
