for how many hours do you sleep??

well,i'm so busy with my studies that i don't get enough sleep..it is almost midnight when i go to sleep.i know one should sleep atleast 6 hours a day but i on most days sleep for only 6-7 hours..some times during a class i fall asleep..for most of you like to sleep but i think you waste your time sleeping..you become more lazy..
so for how many hours do you sleep??

I used to sleep for 8-9 hours but due to a change of job, I'm sleeping for about 6-7 hours. It's so tiring to make this change, waking up at 5.45am instead of 7.30am. I think oversleeping is a waste of time. For example my ex-roommate could sleep for more than 12 hours per day and that's a waste of time. But enough rest for a person to function properly is not a waste of time. During my school days, I get at least 8 hours of sleep and I can keep awake and alert for the whole day. Compared to sleeping for 6-7 hours and dozing off in class. It really depends on how your body functions.

I have a problem is that I sleep so much, I don't know why it is so hard to wake up early or sleep just 7 to 8 hours, I always end to sleeping a lot and waking up very late, even when I have to wake up early for classes it is hard to me to do, even I am eating my breakfast after I came back from school so I can sleep a little more in the morning, I am trying to quit that because it is not normal to sleep so much, I just sleep very few when i am really worry about something or when I am stressed, I just can't sleep even if I try to thinking in other thing, yesterday I was really worry about something I just keep rolling in the bed and I wouldn't sleep, I took me a lot of time to be fall sleep, and I wake up very early, I have other problem and it's that when I set up my alarm clock in my cellphone, it awake me but I usually turn it off and continue sleeping, a few times I was able to wake up right after the alarm ringed, the only that I don't like it's when I have a nightly class and I am very asleep in class, I just try to keep paying attention but it is really hard to do, I remember when I was going to the gym I was doing better, maybe I should to back to the gym and do some hard work up, it seen to make me feel better and sleep lest.

I get about 8 hrs of sleep a night, but I still feel tired the next day. I think its because I wake up off and on all night, and look at the clock, don't know why.

I normally average about six hours of sleep each night but lately I've been training to cover for someone at work who is going on vacation so I have to go in two hours early every morning...at 6:00AM. Because I can't fall asleep early, even when I'm extremely tired, I've only been getting about five hours of sleep and I really feel the difference.

i need like 10 hours to feel alive.. but i also have like health probs that make me tired all the time so thats why

I sleep 8 hours at night and take another one hour nap during the day.
I find sleep extremely refreshing. If I don't get enough sleep, I'll be drowsy during the day, difficult to concentrate.
It's indeed a waste of time sleeping so much, but for the sake of efficiency and good performance, it's worth it.

I'm a night owl, have been for years. I am usually up til midnight or later. But then I also sleep later too. I often don't get up til around 930. And I take an afternoon nap almost every afternoon as well. So on average I'd say I'm getting around 8 to 10 hours of sleep per day.

I sleep longer these days, but i'm having a hard time, I get sleepy in the late afternoon until 7 or 8pm, if I won't sleep at that time,I won't be able to get to sleep anymore..why's that?if I'll go to bed for example at 9, I would catch my z's at 11..and I have to wake up at 4am!argh!

i sleep on average 4-5 hours, sometimes i just cant fall asleep or i dont want to. its a bad habit i need to get rid of usually i go on myspace or youtube in the early moring.i was thinking of going to bed earlier maybe that woud help?

I sleep for about 7 hours a night, although if I could I would sleep more. I would say that I need 7 - 8 hours sleep a night. I always wish that I was a person who could survive on just a few hours sleep, get up really early and be as fresh as a daisy. It does not work like that for me! You are right too, the more sleep I have the more lazy I feel, especially at a weekend when I dont have to get up early, lying in bed always seems to make me feel more tired!

I go to sleep very late or rather very early in the morning. Thatis, i go to bed around 2 or 3 in the morning and wake up around 6:30 or 7 in the morning so that gives me from 4 to 5 hours sleep. I am quite busy at work and even bring home work and sometimes work very late but the reason why i go to bed in the wee hours of the morning is because I love watching old movies and also surfing the net and responding to discussions like on MyLot (LOL)

I don't need much sleep..
I usually sleep 6 - 8 hours a night but it wouldn't affect me if I only would sleep for 4 or 5 hours a night. I agree with you since I also think sleeping is a waste of your time, though I enjoy sleeping very much. But I guess we can't live without our sleep..too bad

i sleep 3-5 hrs every day. im so lucky if i get to sleep 5hrs straight. i am working graveyard and when i get home, i don't sleep yet...coz i need to take care and play with my toddler first before going to sleep. and while asleep, it's oftentimes interrupted coz my son would come in to the room and wake me up if he needs something...
