do you post your real pic?

I've posted a picture of my two boys. They are the most important in my life, so that's why they are in my avatar. That's my way of including them in a part of my life they haven't have access to for the moment.

Occasionally. The one I use on here is pretty much my default pic anywhere, though I use my actual pic on places like Facebook and Friendsreunited.

My avatar is a real picture of me. That was taken my junior year of college, about 2 years ago. I'm a pretty big OU fan, as if you couldn't already tell by the avatar (Didn't attend OU though, but that's beside the point). I agree with you peiksmode, I would rather meet people online personally and not be surprised in terms of appearance, especially if I have already pictured you in my mind. That can get annoying. I follow the "be yourself" attitude and yeah, I'm not going to lie about what I look like cause if there ever was a time that we would meet, well then that time you lied about how you look would really bite you in the booty.

Well, for me, it really depends on what site I would post my real picture. Mylot, friendster, and myspace are usually the sites where I post real pictures of me, my friends and family. But for some other sites which doesn't deal much about socializing, I tend to just have avatars. I did post pics of celebrities but they usually are my favorites and where some of their characters in movies/tv relates to me well.

I always do. There's no reason to post a fake me if I'm looking for friends. I'd feel weird in the process. I've done this once in my life as a joke, but that's it. I would never seriously hand a fake photo of me. And most people who have seen me think I'm cute, so that's cool, lol.

i always post the real me...it's me, it's me, I M WHAT I M, and i dun like those ppl who post celebrities's photo, coz for me, no matter how u look, the way u choose to face the things in your life is really matter. ^_^ it's more lifely to be yourself either in the real world & in the cyber world...

My avatar isn't a photograph of me. It is a bit of artwork that reflects a bit of my personality and hobby. I use my own artwork because I can reflect myself better in it than in a photograph.

Obviously Not. I do not look like the piggy in my avatar at all. (Maybe except that we are both cute) I do not post my real picture in MyLot but in my friendster and facebook, my real pictures are there.

After someone hacked into my computer, I changed my avatar to an image because I felt vulnerable. My current avatar only means something to me. I'm trying not to repeat thoughts I posted in a similar discussion. Does anyone on mylot use avatars because they are afraid to be recognized by someone they are hiding their identity from?

Well, It depends but in Mylot's case, I don't.

real pic: yes that's my real pictures us i am proud to expose my real face. lol but i found other mylotters upload pictures from there favorite artist, flowers,cartoon characters and etc..

I usually don't but some where in the site, like profile, I have a picture of myself... Even here, I put up my picture with my daughter & my dog in my profile... Only place I got a picture of myself is myspace...

I'm not always do posting my own face...I have and some others might have their own reasoning why. I'm on the real pic right now but less exposure, it is just me hiding myself up a bit. Real Pics aren't just the way of judging people, whether you're looking good or just fine others might misjudging you now. We can't blame others picking friends online only just you're good looking and some below are being discriminated, this is the way people now thinking in the net and only few people got good-sides to show. It's not that kind of bad when you put some other images like a thing, animals, cartoons...but when you're using some other photos like saying that you really are on that pic..that is totally BAD, you're a POSER. Be wise to use some pics, personality as it says using something, just be true and don't be a poser.

Actually I have heard a lot of problems when people posted their pictures and on the Internet. And that is the reason I particularly avoid posting my real pictures on the Internet and also in any of my profiles to the whips at which a visit regularly. In these typical conditions of Internet security is anything it is better not to eat anything which is very personal and about you. Maintaining this is a better option rather than being in a big problem in the later stages.

yes I use my real picture, it is nice to use your own picture because it is a picture of your own and not someone else. I don't like posers too, those poeple who pretent to be somebody else they are not. And hey, you have a nice topic here. And you have a good point in there. Have a nice day.

Yes My photo on mylot is really me. I am not sure why people hide behind a fake photo or icon. I guess for the same reasons that authors may be annonomous.

i always post my real pic :) so ppl can see me :) and actually know how i look.lol
