Oh, that's so cool! August 13, huh? I'll have to write that down! I've heard that only 10% of the population is left-handed, so we probably have a Left-Handed Day just to make us lefties feel better. I'm left-handed and, yes, I believe lefties are more creative, clever works in there, too. Since the right side of the brain controls abstract thoughts (artistic ability, creativeness, cleverness, etc.) and that controls the left side of the body, "Only left handed people are in the right mind." That is a favorite of mine! LOL Of course, we'd never get anywhere without the right-handed people in the world! We need them to hold our worlds together! My husband, though, kinda blows that theory out of the water. He's left-handed, but he's not very creative at all. His sister says, and I must agree, that all his taste is in his mouth. LOL He's an engineer who designs programs and logistics analysis for computer systems. There's a lot of mathwork in his work... something I couldn't do to save my soul! But I can make his work look pretty! I found a store that only sells left-handed products. I got a kick out of one in particular and had to buy it: a left-handed pencil. Think about it.

I'm a left handed person and I used to be a fine arts student. I'm a current graphic designer, a blogger, a website designer too... I love painting and drawing. I also enjoy interior design... So i guess left handed are creative but not all coz i have classmates back in college who were creative as me but they are right handed people...

I do admire those left-handed people. Because people always write with right hands and those left-handed people seem to be great to me. I am not sure whether they are more creative and clever. But I think it's quite unusual to me.

Hey there, I personally think taht there is not much difference between a right-handed person and a left-handed person from a genetic point of view. However, I think that when you are born a lefty, you are bound to have special advantages and disadvantages. For example, in sport, lefties may have the advantage since people are used to defending a righty.

That very well could be. I am lefthanded, and I am one of the most creative people O know. I don't know if it's because I am leftanded, or because it's a coinsedence, but that's just the way I am. You have brought up an intereing point.

I am a lefty and I am very creative and clever. It is that our brains are more connected and we have to be clever because everything on this world is designed for right-handed people and they do not need to use their brains that much. I'm a lefty, but i dunno there's a lefty day.. lol ^_^ Yeah, most lefties are much more creative and clever because we are using a different side of their brains and thus, we are different from others in terms of thinking and soing of things.. hehe ^_^ But still, the world is not treating lefties fairly as most things are still fitted to the right handed people.. haha

I do believe that and they have prettier handwriting! Just doesn't seem fair to me.

No because I'm right handed but I'm sometimes even more creative than some lefties I know.Well I'm not really all right handed because I'm ambidextrous when it comes to some stuff especially in magic. Thanks for sharing the info on left handed day

They say that left handed people are right brained, and right handed people are left brained.... I believe that is true. And it's interesting... because they always say it as if the handedness determines which brain you utilize more, but I think the opposite is probably true. I think the brain probably determines which hand is dominant. I am left handed, but do not consider myself overly creative... I have natural athletic ability, which is attributed to the left brain. But I consider myself to be a weird person. :) I love being left handed though! I'm a third generation lefty!

With lefthanders day coming up, August 13th, I try to name all the famous lefthanders I know but I always miss someone.Being a proud lefty I am bias but I do think there are more artists and actors that are lefthanded.But in reality, there are equally amounts of artists that are righthanded compared to being lefthanded.

left handed people are always in their right mind - but they do tend to die earlier than right handed persons (since the world is created for right handed people.) both of my roomies are south paws, one is creative, the other isn't, but she is very nice

Well I'm not a lefty, but I do consider myself insanely clever and artistic. I've heard about left handed individuals who have different ways of perceiving things? I think that's what I've heard. And I didn't know about a national holiday for specializing in a particular hand usage, lol.
