My LAN card has burnt due to Thunder.... Suggest me some Precautions

I have experienced modem problems caused by fluctuations. It does not mean the card is poorly made. One way of protecting your computer is with the use of surge suppressors or automatic voltage regulators which are now built-in on some UPS'. 3Com and D-link were the brand we used to get for our company. you do not have to unplug - you can try gtting a surge protector, but you'll probably need a special one for your phone line as well as the power... With that in place I think you should be safe and just blow the fuse in the surge protector.

Hi.. Next time when rain is falling or lightning plugged out your all electrical product. I don't think its due to bad manufacturer company I think its due to Power or electricity.
