Unclaimed money

Japan
July 4, 2008 1:30am CST
Yesterday I got a letter at my office address from south africa, saying that one person (I don't want to disclose his name) and his friend knows how to tap the treasury unclaimed money lying in some dead person's account in South Africa. If I help them to transfer that millions of dollars to my account in Japan, they will pay me 15% commission. He requested to keep this secret. I doubt this is another scam. There are lot of experts here in myLot. Please tell me the in and out of such kind of mails.

You should either destroy this letter immediately or take it to the police station. These people are trying to scam you, and only want your bank details. Please DO NOT do as they ask, aryajayaprakash, as it's impossible to get your money back once these people have hit you. It is DEFINITELY a scam. Please be careful!

Those types of emails are all over the place. It is just another scam to get you to send them either money or your bank account. Either way you will lose!

I agree with fwidman (shes an really smart when it comes to these things) And if it were me, i would do nothing to disclose my valuable information to perfect strangers, they could be people who might want to steal from me.

If we display our true address in blogs and all, it is dangerous it seems. Such kinds of people get our address from blogs and public places on the net. I must remove my actural address from the net.

Fpr blogs and such I use my Yahoo address and still I get these strange emails, but with Yahoo (and other web based email services, I'm sure) they are usually sent right away to the Spam folder.

This is likely a scam you should either ignore it or turn it over to a law enforcement officer so that they can go after the person who is scaming people. it is likely that you will loose all of your hardearned money if you do as the instructions tell you to do, the ones doing these types of scams are getting smarter and making their paperwork look more and more real. But the tip off in this case is they want you to keep this secret if it were real they would not care who you told and would not care that you verify that what they were saying is true,. These people are more than likely lying I would not trust them,

This is a very popular scam. Just leave it or else you will be the loser. Some of the others are job offer scams and lottery scams. If you disclose the name of the person who send the mail or not, itis not going to make any difference as the name itself may be a scam.

It's not something that you would like to do. They are just trying to get you to send money. They will tell you that they need your help and later on you have to pay for the transaction to take place with the bank. Don't do it, I have received email like that and at first i thought it was for real. Later only to find out that it was a scam. You can try and see for yourself, but I wouldn't try it.
