steady It's really hard to make substantial income from AdSense off blogs - specially new ones because they don't get traffic. Why not join AdSense revenue sharing sites instead? You'll have a better chance of getting impressions.

steady It is really that much harder to get approved today than it was years ago. You might want to try WebAnswers though, chances of getting approved through WebAnswers is much better than with your own new blog.

steady Joining AdSense is much harder now than it was years ago. Now, you'll have to have a good blog or site with a good following and no junk content. Getting approval from the network is just not as easy as it used to be. There's a workaround in this though, and...

steady if you are a good-enough writer and have enough patience to write, and of course if you know which sites to look at, you'll have no problems making payout monthly. at least i do.

steady I suggest you make a blog through blogger.com, make around 10 posts, and apply for adsense through blogger after 2 weeks or so. That way, you're account request will have a much better chance of getting approved.

steady nice wine blog you got there. adsense is still the best way to make (residual) money online in my opinion. if you know good adsense revenue sharing sites to join, they could definitely add an extra hundred bucks a month to your overall adsense earnings.
