Do you keep your old Identification Cards? Or do you just discard them when you think that you won't have any use for them anymore? I do keep my old IDs. I have some reasons for doing so. I keep them for future references or possible use. I keep them for some sentimental reasons. How about you?

I keep them as long as I can. And as long as the mice never got in the case. The only reason for me to keep old cards, not only identification cards, is for remembrance. And the one id, the oldest card that I have been keeping is my company card. That card I guess is already 20 years old now, older than my eldest son...

Have you shown your children your old IDs? I am sure they would want to see those!

Yes I keep my old ID's like highschool ID, Library ID, World Youth day ID 1995, Military Training ID, RedCross Id 1995, and many more. Its just my remembrance and I love to show them to my other relatives and friends in some Family occasions.

I do keep my old IDs from schools, work, seminars and the like. But lately because my work entails me to attend to seminars, events, historical events, presentations, I have my ID hang on near my office table, and so far I have a collections of them and it add on and on. But these IDS are not as important as my school and work, postal, social security ID and the like.

I have some of mine around. In 2001 I legally took my mother's maiden name as my surname. I have some things in my old name from school (I graduated the year before) so occasionally, to make sure that people know that L C is the same as L A, I will provide copies of my old and new ID's.

I keep all of mine for obvious reasons. I may need it just in case my current ones are stolen or lost and they may help in acquiring new ID. Also some of them I like my picture on and to see the differences from time to time is apparent. My grandchildren like seeing them.

No as soon as I have no use for them anymore I will bin them, cutting up first though so no-one else can use for any reason. I have to carry two ID cards now as I work in a marine camp with photo attached for me and also a vehicle one so these will be given back when expired and they will destroy. Ellie :D

I used to keep anything like that, but just recently I destroyed and got rid of everything. I just feared keeping them in case they may be of use to someone for identity theft. Also it was just clutter and I am trying really hard to declutter!

I keep my old IDs for sentimental reasons. I still have most of them in a box somewhere, even the library cards that I used to have in college. When I do spring cleaning, I don't have the heart to throw them away. It was always fun to have a look at my pictures and reminisce old times. Since you also keep yours, do you find it funny to know what hairstyle you sport a few years ago? Hehehe! I do, and its kinda good for the heart to know where or what you've been before.

I do keep my old IDs, from high school and from my previous works. Even IDs like membership cards, networking, etc.
I don't know, I just want to keep them. Maybe for sentimental reasons
