have you ever really made a difference in somebody's life?

I made a difference in my girlfriend's life..she was a bit slow with learning..I boosted her moral and helped her a lot to pass her exams. We worked together to achieve our aims. And finally she passed with unexpected brilliant results :)

I'd like to think that I have. I've had numerous people tell me that they enjoy my writing skills. I think I write okay, but others have awaken another side of me. I really want to make a difference in someone's life. I want someone to be able to say that they can relate to what I've written on a personal level. And it seems that I have. I have made friendships from all over the world because they read something of mine that they liked. And that really makes my day brighter.

I never made any big difference in somebody's life, even though I got a chance to make the difference I could not do that because of my personal reasons, but I have tried my best to make that person happy. I am sure this time if I get any chance I will surely try to make some difference in some body's life!

Sometimes we don't always know when we've made a difference in someone's life. When I was in my early 20s, a friend coached me on how to ask for a raise. I was being paid much less than my male co-workers. I asked for the raise and got it. When I applied for my next job, I negotiated hard for a better salary. I can't imagine the differnece that has made in my earning potential over the past 20 years. I told my friend years later and they were astounded that bit of advice had made such a big difference in my life. So you just never know what bit of encouragement or advice could make a big difference in your life. I can think of two times I know I made a difference, but I hope there are many more that I don't know about. When a friend was in an abusive relationship, I showed up at her house one day and said that's it, we're packing your things and you're moving in with me. Later, she told me that it had never dawned on her to get out because she had no idea where she would go. Once she got away from the abusive relationship, she became much more confident, started her own business and found a much healthier relationship the next time. I also loaned a friend money to get bonded to start his own business. The business is doing well and two years later, he and his wife are able to buy a home.

I like to think that I have made a difference in someone's life. I know I have a few of the younger girls in my church that look up to me, and how I live my life and I guess that makes a difference. I don't think I would fully know if I made a difference until I die and go to heaven.

whee..nice topic..^_^ hmm..honestly, i really love it when my Boyfriend tells me that he's changed because of me..hmm..Maybe because i just did the right thing as her GF.Ofcourse,as part of the relationship you should know what's good for both of you..Not only for yourself,but for him as well.Soo..being with him i know there's a lot of things that's not right,for an instance,ive got this guy who's really a warfreak..i mean not totally warfreak but then he used to fight to anybody with his friends,so for me i dont want him to be like that,though my friends are telling me "he's cool",but id never agree with that..i dont want him to be involved with any fights..What if he got into trouble when there's only me with him how could i help him.??i could never fight against them coz thy're all men..duhh..soo then after that i didnt talked to him,i just wanna let him realized that it's not for me..it's for himself to make his life at peace..you know id never got into trouble maybe somtimes but not all the time and when i know i am right..Not only that.,before,he was something like having 2 or more affairs at a time..(ermm.ive done this once but never did it again.)Yeah,,i knew it because he admit it..Soo when he became my bf i told myself,"oh this guy really needs makeover".lol i mean he's got a lot of atts to changed including for not being serious in a relationship.So then, he knows,everybody knows im not that kind of girl that you could dumped with.Im just being fair though before im a bad girl too..but id changed myself for better.I showed him how true i was when it comes in a relationship.lolFor me,it's been the coolest thing ive done to all the people i loved and to people ive loved before..im soo happy everytime they're telling me those simple words but really touching indeed..oh well who else would not be glad hearing those words.??humm.
