I love reading the book series, 'Artemis Fowl'. It has the proper tinge of humor, fantasy and adventure. I really love it! What about you, which book series do you prefer, 'Artemis Fowl' by Eoin Colfer or 'Harry Potter' by J.K. Rowling?

i love both artemis fowl and Harry Potter. both are very interesting. it doesn't matter to which is better because both of the two books teaches us many lessons. some people says that this kind of books that includes stories about witchcraft, wizardry and fairies are impossible to have lessons. but i dont agree. every book has lessons. we can all learn from it. we just have to read. dont judge it unless you read its content......

I SO totally agree with you. Every story has its own lessons, just like how each book has. And speaking of Artemis Fowl, it teaches-in a way- the lesson of friendship and loyalty... It really is a good book and I love it! Thanks for sharing your thoughts about AF and HP! I really appreciate it! Have a wonderful day and continue exploring the wonders of reading!

artemis fowl is a really great book. the whole series is just wonderful. harry potter is like a normal magical story with flying broomsticks and wands but artemis fowl is different. there's always some sort of new technology that foaly will come up with and a lot of other unexpected things happening in the book. you don't really know what to expect when you read artemis fowl; especially the introduction of a new genius in "Artemis Fowl and the Lost Colony". that was really unexpected. i can't wait to get my hands on the sixth book in the series. hopefully there will be more artemis fowl books to come :) ^_^

Yeah, I totally agree with you! I really love reading the Artemis Fowl book series because all the outcomes of the events are totally unexpected, and Foaly's hi-tech gadgets bring me to an alternate universe. It makes me imagine things... Ah, the beauty of fiction... Thanks for the response and have a good day!

Nice. Now I have an idea what I'm going to read next. I haven't read Artemis Fowl yet so I can't answer your question. I've heard of the title before but I just forgot about it, maybe because I didn't know more about it. But since you've compared it to Harry Potter, which I've greatly enjoyed, I'm going to give it a shot. Thanks!

I like Fowl way better than Potter. It's because I like lil' Arty better; The anti-hero appeals to me more than the valiant tragic boy. _; Fowl's funnier, too. Just total win. -LOL TASERS- I need the last few books...O_o

Yay me! I found myself another AF fan! Anyways, AF totally rules! And even though Artemis can be quite the villain sometimes, he's still funny in some cases. Lol. Thanks for the response!

Oh, you're reading 'Artemis Fowl: The Lost Colony'? To better understand the story, you must read them in order. The first one is 'Artemis Fowl', second is 'Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident', the third one is 'Artemis Fowl: The Eternity Code', the fourth one is 'Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception', the fifth one is Artemis Fowl: The Lost Colony' and the sixth one, 'Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox'. Hope you enjoy reading it and thanks for the post!

Yeah, he is kinda-like-of-somewhat a villain, and at the same time, a protagonist. In the first book, he is more of a villain but later in the series, he becomes a good model. I really love Artemis Fowl, the book series! Thanks for the post, by the way!

I prefer the series of 'Artemis Fowl' by Eoin Colfer provided that I ignore the first four books of Rowling. Actually, both are quite interesting and funny. Both have suspense and a lot of fans. One of them is me! Have fun and Happy mylotting, Regards, Ajith.

Personally I liked the Artemis Fowl series better. That's not a knock on Harry Potter. I thought those books were well written but I preferred the world Eoin Colfer created. I like the way Artemis always wraps it up in the end. Fantasy/Adventure kind of written like a mystery to some degree. My oldest son discovered the series and and most of the family has read them all.

I love both stories. Good thing their story lines were different. But I think I liked Harry Potter more than Artemis Fowl :)
