Yesterday was my sons birthday, and I am so happy that he is in my life. Now that 3 years have passed, and he is talking and almost using the toilet by himself, I have come to appreciate being a parent.
All the time that I have spent with him is wonderful, but I am sad thinking about when he gets older and I won't be as exciting to him as I once was.
I am going to enjoy being his favorite person for now. Below I posted a pic of us together at the beach.
To all my friends, I have to develope the pics from the birthday, they will be up soon!

Happy birthday to your son. I hope he had a good birthday. I think that age is a really neat age because they are discovering so much and they are talking alot.

I completely agree! Sometimes I am so amazed at the words that come out of his mouth. He surprises me everyday! And now I am really happy because he loves to watch non-animated educational shows about all types of animals. He also is a big lovebug, he always wants hugs and kisses and to be with me...I will never forget these days, because I know that they won't last forever.

Like you, I enjoy and appreciate being a parent and have especially enjoyed the last two years that seem to have just 'wooshed' by as she is going to 'big school' in autumn so I am kinda willing the summer to SLOW down!
I think it's a natural feeling for us parents to think very soon we may not be as 'wanted or needed' as we are now but we can enjoy all the special times and cuddles/kisses we can get now and even squeeze in as many as we can LOL:)
Happy belated to your little man..that's a cute pic

hi! congratulations!
my son will be three on november. and i am so excited. at this early, i am thinking how to celebrate his birthday. i know how it feels being a mom of a toddler. it's very challenging yet satisfying. i am also experiencing the potty training with my son...he knows how to sit in the toilet bowl already...my challenge at this time is how to train him not to pee at night. he's still with diapers while sleeping...when he's asleep during daytime, i don't have any problem...but, at night, i don't wanna disturb his sound sleep...
having a toddler is such a wonderful experience.

my son will be turning 3 on january his pictures appears as my avatar. i feel that too. i always wanted to be with him and make the best of it. for i know once he starts to go to school he would be turning adult in one day har har har. i know my child will be imbarass already if i ask for a kiss. maybe he will still be that close to his mom but dad has different relations with sons. i still hope we will remain close like we were now but still i am thinking and feeling sad that he would no longer be this close when he reach a certain age. we must enjoy it latoya while it last. happy birthday to your kiddo

aww. that was sweet. i'm sure you're having a great time raising him despite the hardship that comes with parenthood. and i'm sure it's such a joy to see your son learning things one at a time. they're milestones in your son's life that i know you'll forever cherish.
i guess that's the very thing every parent dreads. when their children are all grown up and they leave their parents house. it's sad that they (will eventually) love to be with their friends more than their parents. i guess it's normal. and as parents you shouldn't really resent it but accept it as a way of life. so i guess what you should do now is to treasure every waking moment with your son and let him know that you love him. so when he grows old, he would learn to show the ways how he appreciates you back. :)

Awe, what a cutie! I know how you feel about being a mom. Sometimes it is hard, but it is well worth it in the end. My daughter is 7 and it seems like just yesterday I was in the hospital having her. My son is 18 months old and I think he's already reached "the terrible twos" lol. He is definitely a "Mommy's Boy". So, keep enjoying life with a beautiful son and make every moment special!

ah hunni congrats on being a parent for 3 years and surviving lol! i can vouch for anyone that is the hardest but most rewarding job in the world.
i like you often look back when my children were babies (they are 2 and 3 now) and i always think to myself where did the time go and they are growing up so fast and it does make me sad that one day they are going to be indepandant and not need me to take care of them anymore, i just decided to relish the time i have doing that now tho lol!

Happy Birthday to your son! I wish him all the love that this day has brought to him. It is nice to know that he has a mother whom loves him dearly as you do.. I wish all the success on his potty training! This day is indeed a special day for the two of you!!!!!!!!!!
