Whenever I come across any discussions that I don't understand well, I will not respond to. Why? Because I feel so embarrassed if I say something out of topic. If I don't have strong knowledge on the topic being discussed, I also don't feel want to respond to it. Again, I scare to say wrong things. But if I am really interested in the topic, I will try to figure out too. How about you? What kinds of discussions that will make you don't feel to respond to? Do share with me,thanks.

i dont respond to the discussions that i cannot understand. there are topics that does not state the real purpose of starting a topic, so we are left hanging and have no choice but to ignore that discussion. i hope all of us would make a very informative and very interesting topic, not just those silly questions that people will reject. lol.

I agree, baebie
Some discussion actually sound so "off the wall" that
you can't really understand just what it is the person
is saying or why they even brought it up. This happens quite naturally for some people. At one point in time I wrote much the same as I talk and that -lol- has lead to
people saying, "Do what, what is she talking about"!
One thing is for sure, leave me out of politics and religion. Those still ARE the most argued subjects.

I don't respond to or even read any discussions where the grammar is so bad it is difficult to follow the topic. Even if the grammar is only about half bad, I won't read it. Learning English is one thing. If English is your native language and your grammar is horrible, that is just plain lazy. (I am not saying this about this post obviously because I read it and responded and I don't even read those with bad grammar.) It just really bothers me that more and more online, grammar is being ripped apart and misused to the point of being totally not understandable. Come on people...have you not learned anything at school? If you are old enough to be here, you are old enough to have been in school learning your native language.

i feel for you... sometimes, even if the discussion topic is understandable and seems to be interesting but those who are responding aren't (grammatically incorrect).. sometimes way out of the topic... i don't know if it is just because of typographical error or just plain lazy. practice makes perfect but please be descriptive and be clear as possible.

I don't usually respond to discussions that have meaning only to Americans or that are aimed mainly at them. That is either because I don't understand them or they have nothing to do with me. There are others however that are kind of international and I can relate to them, so those I respond to and gladly.

I don't respond to discussions that are about tv shows or movies that I don't watch because I have no knowledge of them. I also don't know anything about gardening, being married, working in an office environment...there are many many things I cannot respond to. Even when I see a discussion about little kids...I have kids but they are older now and I forget what it was like when they were little. Lol.
And I've also learned not to give my view in discussions on subjects that are sure to start an arugument, such as the bible's view on matters, and also homosexuality.
I mainly stay with discussions that I can just say something funny, or give a personal story of something similar that happened in my life.

I tend to not respond to discussions that are very lengthy. I get lazy reading everything especially if it's very descriptive. Most of the time I just hit the back button to check out other discussions. But sometimes if the first few lines are interesting, I just skip the middle part and read the ending then post a reply. :) I seldom come across discussions I don't understand, so I guess I'm lucky in that aspect. :)

I don't respond to a discussion like if they are talking about players of a certain sport that I don't know and also when they are talking about movies I don't even watch. I respond to discussions which I know the answers to or where I can say something.

I've been avoiding the ones that are basically one sentence, obviously just trying to rack up some cash. Put some thought into what you are going to say and give people something to respond to. One I just saw was along the line of do you like X? Tell me why or why not. It's screaming fill me with posts cause I think it will net me the millions. The person didn't even offer their own opinion first which I think is the key to making that sort of post valid. Jump out there and say here is how I feel, and why I feel that way. If you agree or don't agree give me some intelligent replies.
