I can read a book in about an hour, depending on the length of it, and how interested in the story I am. It took me forever ( a month or so) to read War and Peace, not because it was long ( 1000 or so pages), but because I couldn't get interested in the story line. A longer book takes anywhere from two to four hours to read. I read the COunt of Monte Cristo the other day. Since it had 600 pages it took about four hours.

I could get into a book no telling how long. Maybe 2-3 hours at a time. I'm a complete bookworm!!!

Just find books that you like really well, and start reading those and you'll become a bookworm like me!

I read at about 800 words per minute and I average 40-50 books per year. Some I go through faster than others, depending on the rhythm of the book. Sometimes it takes me longer if the book doesn't maintain my interest as well. I am an admitted bookaholic. It's funny though, when I was a kid in school, I hated to read, now it's one of my favorite pasttimes.

I think that is wrong. Books other than text books can be a source of great entertainment, as well as a way to increase your vocabulary and writing skills.

Oh it depends on what I am reading and how interesting i find it.
I hate it when fiction writers are overly descriptive or the book has poor editing .
If a book can be shorter it should be.

i am a fast reader.. i read novels depending on my time schedule... when im not doing anything. i can finish a thick book in just a day. sometimes, i even try reading a novel while listening to my professor.. i just feel like when i read the book, i should finish it to the very last page.. i really love reading.. this is my passion.. i have read a lot of books like, da vinci code, tuesday's with morrie, angels and demons, the pearl, and novels by daniel steel and anne rice's books..

If the book has a really interesting plot and storyline, I could finish it in about two to three days. If it has interesting plot with five hundred pages, then thats completely a different story. About a week, I suppose.
I can remember plots quite well especially if the books are on my faved list.

It depends on the book I'm reading. If it's a storyline that I can get into quite quickly, then I'm likely to read it within a few days because I take every opportunity to read it. If it's one that I'm not too fussed about then it takes a lot longer, but I try to make sure that I always finish it, no matter how dull!

No. I mean I always finish the book irrelevant of how boring I find the book. Take Dan Brown books for example, I think they are poorly written and I have yet to find one of the books interesting. That doesn't mean that I have left them unread when I am only part way through. I make sure that I finish any book I start; it's the only way to become widely read and to form opinions on books. I couldn't say I don't rate Dan Brown as an author if I had only ever read the first few chapters of his books!

If it's about 300-400 pages I can read it in a day, about 4-5 hours maybe. Just in one sitting. But if it's something very think, it would take me about a week to finish it.

I can read a book as long as I don't have anything important to do. I am very patient in reading books, as you can see. To top it, I finished a 300-page+ book on a school day. My friends told me that I was insane. Truth be told, I am. Quite. Hehehe...

It depends on the type of book I am reading. If I am really into the book and like what I am reading then I read pretty fast. I usually remember just about the whole book. But, if it is a book that I have to read and it is boring and I really dont want to read and have to then I read slow. Usually then I dont remember nothing from the book.

I am not sure if what you are referring includes novels. Because i really love reading novels especially when its all about love with action topics. If I like much the stories im reading and i am already almost at the climax of the story, i even stop reading until the wee hours in the morning. I remember once that I got only 2 hours of sleep and then again continue reading for the whole day until I finished the story. And I share it with my friends who are also booklovers so they will experience also what I've experienced.

It all depends on the thrill of the book-a thriller could get over in just a day, if i startd it on the morning and it has about 200 pages-bookes likedetective stories are really interesting!

When I was in grade school, I could read an
entire book in one day. And, I'm talking about
a book that was over 100 pages long.
But I did not enjoy the book.
Most times, I can read an entire book
in one week, if I'm rushing.
But two weeks is about the right amount
of time for me to read a book and still
enjoy doing so!
Thanks for the fun question.
I love talking about reading and books!

If it is a good book and somehting I am interested in I cn read it like all day. If it is something I dont really care about I can not read it more than a half hour or so. I do like to read and often do it when I have nothing else to do.
