Have you heard of this before? I am not sure whether this saying has any scientific proofs or not. But many people said this before,left-handed people are smarter than right-handed people. What is your comment on this? Do you have any real examples that can explain this? Please feel free to share with me,have a nice day.

I've heard this before, but I don't really believe it because I've met quite a few left-handed people that could have hit the books a little more. *laugh* I am left-handed, and I am glad to be in that smart category though. A little note on this presumption about lefty smartness: I was in a gifted class when I was in school. It was a class of 16. Eight were left-handed and 8 were right-handed. It might just show that left-handed people are just as smart as right-handed people. You know the saying was that we were clumsy, backwards, and awkward. To me, that just shows that we're just as smart as the "normal" right-handed people.

I'm ambidextrous but still dont know the right answer on this. My fathers side of the family are ALL lefties. My dad, his bro, my g'parents, almost all my cousins on his side are too & my son is ambidextrous too. I don't know if they're smarter or not really. I do know that lefties use diff parts of their brain to figure things out than righties. I have heard that lefties are more artistic. My dad is really good @ playing the guitar & can play a song after just listening to it w/o sheet music for it. My son is 6 & he likes playing a guitar that his g'pa gave him. He's actually pretty good on it too lol.

Since I'm left handed, I'd love to agree. But, I can't agree with any kind of broad generalization like this. Some left handed people are smarter. Just as some right handed people are. My brother, who's right handed, is smarter than me. So, that's one example that disproves the claim.
Still, it's nice to think that people believe left handed people are smarter.
