I am interested in finding out how people feel about My Lot. Are you making money? How much time are you spending on the site each day? Is it worth staying at home and typing all day? How many of you are doing this at your current job? And lastly, to receive payments from My lot, I am a little confused, as it asked for a PayPal email? I have an account with Paypal but do I use my existing yahoo email or is there a Paypal email I'm missing? Please help, I'm kinda new and want to learn the ropes!

I like MyLot and drop by most days to see what the topic of interest are for that day. I don't spend much time, any more.
I also jump over here when I have something I would like to get opinions about.
Mostly I spend time on my blogs now.
Usually your Paypal email is the email address you used to sign up with Paypal.

Thank you for responding! I was not sure about the email thing with paypal because I hadn't used paypal for some time and since then my email had changed. So I did change it in paypal. So I'm guessing its my existing email? Still confused a little but thanks for help. I don't know much about blogs? Do you do that here on Mylot?

Hi tandy, I made $10.03 last month, and that is the first time that I've made payout in one month. I spend several hours everyday on myLot, but I'm not posting all the time. I read discussion to see if I want to respond, and I check to see what my friends have written. I also reply to those who comment on my discussions. Blessings.

They are asking for your email address that is linked to your paypal. That way you get paid and notified by paypal that mylot has sent the payment.
I wouldn't suggest quitting any job to get on mylot. It is more of a way to make a little bit of extra money. I use my online earnings to buy Christmas gifts or for vacations.

I like the mylot site and the community and I try to post at least a few responses every day. No, the money isn't really worth the effort it takes to make here, but I am not here for the money alone. I am here for the good friends I have made. As this discussion is two months old and you only have 14 postings by your name, I guess you are no longer active as you found out that the money isn't a whole lot. I have worked the site for 10 hours one day and I only earned $1.50 for that day, so no, the money is not why I am here.
When you set up your paypal account you had to give them your email address. That is your account number, your email address you set up the account with. I know when I first started finding ways to make money on the internet and had to set up my paypal account I didn't understand what my account number was so I phoned paypal to ask and they explained it to me, that it is the email address that I set up my account with.

When you sing up for paypal they ask you fr a email adress. The email that you put down is your paypal email. On my days off I can be on here for like 6 to 9 hrs just typing away. When I am at work I do not be on the computer at all. When I come home from work I try to get on if I am not too tired. Am I making money on here yes I am but not as much as I want.

Your paypal e-mail is the e-mail address yu used when you signed up. I am not on mylot as much as I used to be as at first it ws like an addiction. Many sleepless nights. You won;'t get rich here but you can make payout each month if you try. I bounce back and forth between mylot and here:

I get article ideas from mylot for AC and discussion ideas for mlot from AC. If mylot seems to not have much going on in my interests I just jump over to AC and see what is happening there or publish a poem or article that comes to mind. Give it a try!
Here is one of my poems I published on AC

Welcome to the Mylot. I'm somewhat older than you at Mylot. However from whatever little experience I'm having at Mylot, all I can say is that Mylot is a good and reliable paying site for hardworking and disciplined members. Though the paying rates per post at Mylot may look like very small at first, But if you are dedicated and hardworking person, You can get some money every month. But this money is not so much that you can leave your day job. At best, it can give some extra money only.
Regarding time I am devoting each a day at Mylot - I'm not able to put in more than half to one hour per day.
Regarding paypal email - Your login ID at paypal is the email.

Hello tandy41.
I just received my first payout from myLot. I would not be able to depend on this amount monthly to pay any of my bills, but it is still nice to have a tiny bit extra coming in.
I usually spend about an hour a day on myLot, occasionally more. I do not stay home all day and type as I have a job plus many other activities I do.
I could not possibly be on myLot while at work as there are no computers in any offices except for the secretaries.
I'm sure someone has already answered your question but you must use the email address that you've registered under at PayPal so that your payment will go through. Some people use more than one email address, I think. So, that's why myLot stresses you must tell them the one that you are registered under at PayPal.
Take care.

Personally I think that the mistake that many people make when joining MyLot first is that they look at the money to be made and think that they are going to be able to earn enough to replace a full time offline job. The reality is that these communities for the most part are not meant to be replacements for your offline income unless you are someone with experience getting lots of referrals and keeping those referrals active and continually building on your efforts month after month for a long time. But if you enjoy the features which MyLot has to offer, like writing, like meeting and making friends who you get to know better, then the money you earn is a bonus which you will enjoy all the more. I would not suggest giving up your day job to write on here all day and night long, but if you want to make a little money having some fun than this is a great place to do that.

I will first address the Paypal question. Your email address that you give to Paypal and where you enter their site is your Paypal email address. So if you use Yahoo email, then that is the one you use. As for myLot it is part a money making discussion sight. That is, you get paid for starting and responding to discussions and in general writing. It is usually best that you write something you are interested in - that separates the ones only interested in making money from the ones that really want to participate. If you find writing a bore, it is hard to participate in mylot except for the money.
I do not figure out the time I spend on myLot. I love to write anyway, so to me two hours is the same as five, it is a breeze.
Oh and advise: friends matter. Get as many as you can preferably in your interests. What will happen is that when you start to post, the non friends will join in and they will send you invites if they like your post. It is sort of a roller coaster.
Keep the discussions more than one or two word sentences, four or more lines is the best. Do not break the guidelines, do not post your referral link in a post although there is one interest where you can, if you want to recommend a money making site, send a message to your friends. Do not flame anyone.

yes mylot really does pay! i just received my first payout from mylot! it's really exciting for me. this is the first time that i've actually seen money in my paypal account. i've joined quite a few survey sites and i've redeemed some vouchers. but none of them pay in cash. and i had to do a whole lot of surveys just to redeem one voucher. ;]

Hi, I just received my payment from myLot yesterday. It takes me long time to earn that. Say about 2 months. Well, it's slow because I didn't post a lot here in myLot. I enjoy it though. I heard of few people quit their job and post here as their main job. I'm not a fan of it. Haha..
As for your question, you need to give the email address that you log in to paypal and update it in myLot account profile. For example, you use abc@yahoo.com to sign in to paypal. so, you should use this abc@yahoo.com as the address you receive payment from myLot. I'm not sure at which page you can update it, but just navigate around this site, sure you will find it. Hope this helps you!

Hi tandy. I find that i am making more money in a few days on MyLot than I am in a whole month on Helium, which I cannot really justify as I have 20 articles on Helium, of which 15 are rated in first place. For a little effort, a bit of imagination and fun you can do ok here.
