Training camps begin in less then a month. I need to start getting my act together for fantasy football. Football is the number one sport in America. The Giants shouldn't repeat as Super Bowl Champions. I don't care what the topic is you want to post but we need more football talk here. Somebody post a reply about anything football and I will reply back. I can't believe we don't have more football fans here so lets get started.

I just wasn't sure what to talk about at the moment. I look forward to the NFL season but I have to ask myself even as someone who watches the Browns, can they get it done? Even with all the free agents they've signed (I don't pay attention too much), can it help the team improve and go further than they have in years? I really wish I could say with complete confidence they could win the division but there's just one problem. I thought the same thing about the Tribe but that didn't happen. I wouldn't want to say something to jinx it. Anyway, until they somehow dethrone the Steelers in such a convicing fashion, it's still their division even though they both finished with identical records. New England is still going to be tough to beat. I don't care what anyone says, you can't deny they are a good team. Tough break for them last season as I thought they were going to go 19-0 mainly because if you bet against New England that year prior to the Super Bowl, you'd look like a fool for doing so. I will say that is there no way they go 16-0 in the regular season in back-to-back seasons. It's tough enough to do it once let alone twice. I haven't made my overall picks for the Super Bowl this upcoming season. I don't think the Giants will go back but I expect them to be tough regardless. The NFC East and the AFC North are probably going to be the toughest divisions to win at to be perfectly honest.

I know. The Browns really shocked everyone, including me. I attribute part of that to getting rid of Charlie Frye. He was just terrible and everytime he played for Cleveland, he would end up losing the game. I hope Anderson can become the star Quarterback because he shows promise and plus they need to have a stable Quarterback. I don't like going into a season wondering who is going to play in that position and get the job done. I get tired of the losing seasons and hope they have a great year. It could be worse I admit but it can be fine. Quinn will get a chance to play but they should ease him in and not want to throw him in the fire so to speak. Remember what happened to Tim Couch and that didn't work out too well. I really don't want to see that again or maybe worse like Ryan Leaf bad. It is true that it isn't easy from college to pros on the transition. Some work and some don't. Green Bay needs to get it together and I think they've decided to go with Rogers as the guy to lead the team. I can't honestly blame them for giving him a shot. Favre had been jerking with Green Bay on his will he or won't he retire soap opera. I'd rather Favre retire with grace and dignity than come back and look like a fool for returning to the league with having a season worse than last season.

Very true, the more that comes out about the Favre situation the more it seems like he is basically holding the team hostage. Apparently he has been on again off again about coming back for months and the team has given him every opportunity. They couldn't just wait and hope though. What a terrible place he has put them in. it will be hard for the team to win with fans no matter what they do.

Now this is some quality football talk. The Browns really surprised everyone last year and could be better if their defense improves at all. However, I am not sure if Anderson can repeat what he did last year. Sort of an awkward situation with him starting and Quinn on the bench. Having 2 quarterbacks making all that money can lead to a number of different problems, but right now it is a better problem to have then say the Vikings, Lions, Bears, and packers. No one in that division has a great qb they would brag about.

Who are the sleeper running backs in fatasy football this year? I like Forte out of Chicago as a guy who may surprise some people. I also think Adrian Peterson will go too high in most drafts. The kid couldn't stay healthy at Oklahoma, missed games his rookie year and will find it difficult to top last year's numbers. I still rank LT as the top overall back in the NFL.

Good points. Chicago needs a back and Forte is sure going to get a chance. Everyone is hyped over McFadden but the Raiders have so many backs I don't know if he would get enough touches to be a league leader. I heard Ray Rice was looking good but again, he won't get that many touches.

The sleeper That comes to mind in the running back position, is Michael Turner, of the Atlanta Falcons. He has been waiting for his chance and now he has it. The Raiders rookie pick may get 18 to 20 carries a game, and he will put up decent numbers. I think Maurice Drew Jones on Jacksonville will put up Brian Westbrook stats this year.

I was just listening to a report last night on the news about the Indianapolis Colts training season to begin. It looks as though Marvin Harrison and Bob Sanders will both be in action by the beginning of the season. That is a great thing and I hope they can stay healthy all season. I believe that they stand a great chance at winning the whole thing again!

You are right, if they can stay healthy they have a great shot. Unfortunately harrison is getting older and wearing down more quickly. Sanders hits so hard he always ends up missing some time.

I really don't want to talk about football. I want to WATCH some football again. I cannot wait for the season to start again. I think it is going to be a very interesting season.

I am very excited to get this NFL season underway... make my sundays exciting again! The only thing I am hesitant about is I am a Chiefs fan, and I have an inkling that this could be another very long year for us. But you never know, so I will be optimistic!
