Give opinion regarding Karate as self defence

Karate is exactly self defense art,if you practicing karate you will become strong mentally and physically that is the greatness of karate, by practicing karate you can improve your self-confidence and concentration. There are so many technics you can learn how to defend and how to offend our opponents

A lot of people think condescedingly of karate because they believe that karate is impractical. Though to some degree this is true, i wouldnt underestimate a karateka when he's fighting. Remember that some of the karateka's techniques have been tested by generation after generation of japanese warriors. And when you analyze the movements in a Kata, you'll see how practical the series of strikes are.

I had joined a karate orgnization for monthes when studying in college,I did bad so I don't get a good result.The way it defends is what attracts me most,briefly but strong enough,so nice for self defence.

Hi there. When I was a kid, I have my ambition to become a karate expert someday. I love karate very much, However, even in this field there is also a SCAM, my brother used to enroll in this organization ( sorry forgot the name of the organization ) in our High School compound. They have a great learning lessons, however, time comes that they are asking too much payment from their students until one day the admin found that they don't have valid license from the Karate Federations, so my brother got SCAMMED. During my first year in college, there is also a karate organization named KickFighter, but this is a registered by United Karatedo Federations, so it is legal. I join the organization and my career started from there. Have joined in different competitions in different places. Saying so, Self Defense has been developed with me. Self defense could not be achieve if you don't have a discipline for your self. A simple SH!T from somebody would not trigger for me to kick or punch them, that would be the discipline takes place, you need to balance your decision as to when you will use your knowledge. But they aim to punch you or kick you, then that would be the time a self defense will came in. I can go with places on my own since I can protect myself, but it is also depend on the place.

Karate is good but too much of it makes one so stiff.
