What is your first reaction when a beggar comes near you?

Well,maybe I am a bit skeptical in this case. Whenever a beggar comes near me, I always think he is trying to cheat me to be poor. So normally, I won't give even a penny. Unless is a blind,maybe I will consider a bit. Nowadays there are too many beggars pretend to crave for our sympathy. Hence,sometimes we cannot be too kind-hearted. What do you think? Do you have same point of view as me? Please feel free to drop some responses to me,thanks.

I have the same thinking, I am a bit skeptic if the beggar is actually wanting some help, or if the beggar just wanna rip me off. I have heard from my friends that some are very demanding, even to the point that some would throw away what you gave to them then ask for something else (which is not right).

Hello Yenwie. When a beggars come near me and ask for alms. I always give them as long that i have money. There's just something inside me that can't refuse them. I always pity them and they always have a soft spot in my heart. There's two kind of beggars in the street. The ones who pretend and who are lazy. The other are the real ones. Who really needs help. How are we suppose to know who is real?
Me, i just pray for them. If they fooled me by pretending, shame on them. It's not my lost. I'm just trying to help and I think I'm not doing anything wrong with that.

I get scared if I am alone that I might get mugged or something. But I am very sensitive and hate that they are in that situation. I am curious as to what they want.

2 years ago,my friends and i went to railway staion and began a trip. We waited the train and talked, while a little begger walked behind me without any noise. But my frinds saw the stange begger, so they were quiet suddenly.
I saw my friends' strange face and felt some wrong behind me,then I turn arround. I didnt expect a dirty pink beggar was trying to touch me and asked for money.I was so scared, and cried loudly at once.The beggar was scared by my cried voice and cried too then went away with out any words.
