I got chicken pox at the worst time! I actaully got them during Halloween when I was in third grade! Do you realize I had to stay inside and watch and the neighborhood kids trick or treating up and down the block and getting all that candy! I couldn't even pass it out for fear of spreading it. Today I can laugh over it because the last thing I need is candy and being a child is nothing but a fun memory.

I had chicken pox when I was about 8 years old, I did not have it too bad though. My children had it last year and they had it so bad it was scary. It was horrible, there was not a piece of skin that did not have chicken pox on it. They really suffered with it.

I got it twice, I know most people would not believe me.
I had it the first time when I was in the primary school according to my mum. The second time was a major one that I got it while working in a healthcare centre. I was in my 20's then. I guessed the virus love me too much
The similar sign & symptoms that you mentioned and I have a few scars until now. Definitely one of my worst experience ever.
Cheers and happy posting.

are you really talking about the chicken pox????
that is highly contageous and deadly decease. Of course the vaccin is a good idea as the mortality rate is really high.
I wonder if you are talking about the windpox where you have those little bulbs of water on your face that are indeed itchy but relatively harmless. itchy for sure and fever too, but rarely deadly. I did have those when I was 17! that was hell. the older you are when you get them, the worse they come through. it took me 2 weeks to get over the itchyness and the fever. not fun.

I had them when I was young as well,I always thought that they couldnt return, until recently. my mother got shingles and from what the dr said it was the same as chickenpox in a child! And,she did have chicken pox as a child as well. Now that she was much older though...they were alot worse she had very bad pain and now scars! I guess the chance of getting them when you are older is less if you had the pox already as a child so overall, its worth the pox when you were younger!

yup, i already experienced having chicken pox when i was 10 years old. it's hard to have chicken pox. you can't do most of the things that you regularly do such taking a bath. i don't even got outside inorder not to be annoyed by other kids.

I couldn't remember exactly how old I was but I know I got it from my little sister. The chicken pox came out on my stomach first. Then I knew it was a chicken pox when I saw a circle bubble with water inside on my stomach then went on my back. I'm just glad it was done. I can't have it anymore.

My sister and I both had chicken pox at the same time, when we were little children. She had a rather severe case of the problem, but I only had seven spots to worry about. We boh recovered pretty quickly though, with no further problems.

I got mine when I was 12 years old. I don't have a vaccine for chicken fox at that time. But now I got my children vacinated for their protection.

I think i had cp when i was a kid but i really dont remember it now. My husband and my kid contracted cp last jan. They were afflicted by cp in winter!!! My kid was only a year old so it did not affect him much.
But my hubby suffered a lot and he let his steam out on me..lol.
here we keep a lot of neem leaves in the room where a person has cp. It is because neem leaves have great antiseptic property.

Yes, I had the chicken pox when I was a small child of 8 years old , and I wanna say I was in the second grade too . When you have them you also are sick with the flu and itch like crazy . My mom said not to pick them , but I did and have a few scars from them .

Yeah, I had chicken pox when I was in the 3rd grade. Actually my sister had gotten it first and I also got it in a couple of days. It meant leave from school for about 2 week. I remember my dad taking me to the beach for having a bath in the sea, but I don't know why, maybe it's a remedy for curing chickenpox. Also, my mother used to give me hot water soaked in neem leaves for bath. I have got some spots from them even today.
