My daughter, the tattle-tell!

This afternoon, I was in the computer room typing away when I heard my name being taken in vain. My four year old daughter was in the living room talking to her Daddy and busy being a tattle tale about something Mommy said! She's so funny. I think she was talking about Mommy not allowing candy before supper. But the idea that she would bring it up behind my back made me giggle. Kids are too cute. Do your kids tattle tale about the things you say when your spouse is not around?

Yes, my daughter does that too. Lucky for me, her Daddy is smart enough to verify the facts with me first. Today he asked me if she'd had a vitamin and if he could give her a vitamin cause she told him that she had not had one. On this rare occasion she was actually right. She had not received a vitamin. So I was happy that she reminded him. I'm usually so good about remembering the little things when it comes to her care.

My neice did that one time. She asked me if I thought she was fat. I think she might weigh 50 lbs tops she is tall and skinny for her age. She over heard her daddy talking about eating to much candy makes you fat. I am not sure if he said it to her or if he was talking to my sister he has a older daughter also. I told her no way are you fat. Besides that she is always active. That is cute though about your daughter telling on you to your husband.

I'm always so surprised at how much the little children pick up from conversations and then they apply it to themselves!

I don't have kids, but the step-kids probably tell others all aou what their Dad's new wife does, their new step-mom who is younger than hey are. hahahahahaha My huband and I laugh every time we think about that. I hope I'm shoking the $hit out of people all over North American. ;-)

In the US, age is not such a big factor in relationships and marriage. Sometimes the guy is older, sometimes the lady is older. If one is in love, it's makes no big difference!

My daughter is the Biggest Tattle-tale there is. It is funny sometimes- she thinks she is going to get me in trouble. She will say- Dave- mom was driving 70 again today- lol... or Mom ate the last cupcake- and it was supposed to be yours! Grrr... I laugh. She is 11--- so you are in for it for a while.

my 4 year old is like that he either will tell on me to his father or tell on his dad to me. but what he doesnt realize is that we already know whats going on so he doesnt fool us. there was this one time when he tricked his dad into giving him some candy by telling him i said it was ok and then when i asked his dad why he gave it to him he said well he said you told me to give it to him and all we could really do then was laugh.

Mine is four, too. She pulled that candy bit last week. I had a serious talk with my spouse after that about how she can't ever have candy before supper cause then she completely refuses to eat. Guess the candy makes her not hungry.

Kids are cute in things like this that they will do. My youngest one was a tattle tale on her sister and some on me. My kids were famous for asking me or my husband if they could do something and then telling the other one of us that the first one had said they could- whether they had been given permission or not.

The little sneak. How cute is that?? I got told on today too. As we were leaving the pool today my son insisted that he wanted a blue slushy drink. I knew he just wanted it because his new friend had just gotten one. I reminded him that I was stopping by the coffee shop on the way home and he could have a chocolate milk instead. NO!! He insists, so the blue slushy it was. I went through the drive through at my coffee shop for my regular afternoon drink and he starts requesting from the backseat, "tall chocolate milk please"..... blue slushy still in hand. Long story, short.... I did not give in. Son was not happy. Daddy was pulling in the garage at the same time we were and boy did daddy get an earful about what mommy had done to him. I left the two of them in the garage to finish the slushy together.

Ooo dobbed on! They do learn though that it doesn't get them far but it does help if one parent backs up the other so the child doesnt feel so prroly done by! Sometimes you can't have your cake and eat it too - or in this case your blue slushy and chocolate milk too. Doesn't sound like a nice mix anyways for his tummy!

You should go to school and here what the teaches learn about the families. It is funny what you learn from the kids. I volunteer for a lady who has mini farm. She has elementary school children come over to and learn about farm animals. A friend and I go and help out. One day we had the kindergarten students over there and one told my friend "My daddy is in prison" She said "I am sorry". Later after the students left she was telling us the story. After she said OH I am sorry. I popped up and said "And what you really wanted to say was what did you daddy do to get put in prison"?

hi beautyqueen how cute. she is daddys girl I bet. my little girl did the same thing too, and we both got a charge out of it. bad mommy she wouldnt give lisa a cookie, and my hubbywould laugh and say maybe we should spank her, then Lisa would break down into giggles and say no bad daddy no spank Mommy. You know I had never ever spanked her to begin with as I did not and still donot believe in spanking. nor did my husband. but she heard mymom say something about spanking to my husband. I lost my sweet little girl when she was eight so all those eight years were so precious to both of us.

I'm a tattle tale myself! I always tell my dad things that happened to my mom and vise versa. I don't know why but it's really fun to do. I don't want to cause a fight between them, I guess, but mommy and daddy always seem so perfect that sometimes it's fun to go behind their backs and reveal their flaws. You're daughter's really cute though, going to your husband about candy!!!

My son is nearly 4yrs old and he is very cunning. Does a tattle-tell a lot. When is back from his school he says the teacher beat him, when the school has a strict policy of not beating the students. Also we are strict vegetarians and dont even eat egg. My son goes and tells his mother that I bought some eggs and kept them in the refrigerator. Now that we know he CRIES WOLF a lot we make sure that we confirm everything that he says are lies...OMG dont know how we are going to manage him.

Well my daughter won't do anything she knows she isn't allowed to eveen if Daddy says she can when I am not in the room - he hates that she always double checks things with me! As for him though she is always telling me tales about him - he doesn't get away with anything! xxxx

Sure do. I did it to my folks. I loved my daddy, and would say stuff mom did. just out of fun. One day it went out of hand and she popped me in the mouth. Needless to say, to this day, I keep my stuff to myself and I am always one to say, where's the proof? just yesterday, we had something at work where a person was suspended from work(a supervisor at that)for spreading malicious gossip, and the very next day, our supervisor came in and repeated a piece of gossip about a couple engaging in some stuff in the parking lot of our job, and I was like, well what proof do you have? To this day, folks will say I always want to take the benefit of the doubt, but come on, I ain't jumping on no heresay, give me the PROOF. As for your child, yes it is cute. She's only a little girl. and the issue itself was a minor one. Mine do the same to my ex, and sometimes it is aggravating as the dickens. I have to let them know look, everything he don't need to know and keep him out of my business.sorry to make this serious if I did.

Oh yes, there is no loyalty in our children, in fact they are quite good at using things said in order to cause a row! A saying that the adults in my life used to use when I was little and in the room when a conversation was going on was " careful what you say because the walls have ears" this was made in reference to the fact that I was there listening to every word. It is true, and it is worse when the kids only catch half of a conversation and then add the rest in their own words!

Lol that's funny- I don't have children but when I do I'm sure they'll have a mischievious streak!
