It is a food distribution program. They are finally in Maryland and I was wondering if anyone has gotten a box of food from them? How is the food quality, especially the meat and chicken. I found a location and can place a order by Monday, if I get some feedback. Thanks

I have heard that they get restaurant-quality foods. I haven't heard anything bad about the quality of the food or the organization itself.

Yes I have, so has my neighbor ans so has my sister. We all found the food to be very good quality. We got an additional meat package and my husband thought they were the best hamburgers that he ever had.

I tried them once. The popcorn chicken pieces ended up with a lot of just plain globs the chicken coating. So what I did wans take the list to Aldie's and got just as good groceries and at the same price. I had also ordered some of the TV dinners and they were very bland. I wasn't real thrilled with the food box but then I may have expected too much.

We have one near us in another county which is about a 45 minute drive and with the price of gas, I am not sure its worth it but I am thinking of it. I haven't personally tried it or found anyone locally who had. I know that the price of groceries (just like everything else) is so high now adays and the price seems right and those extras that you can get also sound good. However, you have to go in person to order (45 minutes each way) and then go back to pick up the order (45 minutes each way). I would say that the church is roughly 40 miles give or take from me so not sure in my case if the mileage is worth it. I am close to Cumberland and Hagerstown and where we would need to go is Berkley Springs WV (we live in WV). We are so far out LOL I even checked Virginia for locations and its further for those to drive to. I believe that there is also one in Martinsburg WV and we go there on occassion but not that often. If gas goes down...I might try it once I hear a bit more feedback.

We purchased food from the program when we lived in Missouri and really liked it. I would call it restaurant quality food - actually better than what you can usually get in the grocery store. We found all of the food, including the meat to be of exceptional quality and definitely well worth the price. We moved to North Dakota last fall and Angel Food Ministries hasn't reached this far yet - I would be very happy if they did!

Several months ago I found one that was about 25 miles away and I tried it for two months and was very happy with it. The quality was good and there was a little of everything in the package. With gas prices going as high as they have, the cost to drive that far wasn't making it worthwhile, but then they opened one in the town I go shopping in, so I was going to start doing it from there, but now that we have Aldi's, I just haven't done it. I need to look at the menus again and see if it's worth doing it for any particular months.
