Pizza Complaint!

My husband and I ordered a pizza online and after 30 minutes of waiting, we finally got it. I was excited and starving so, I got one slice and start biting it. When he saw it, he was disappointed since there was barely no meat on it, just a lot of cheese.. We used to order in the past and it always satisfy us..
He grab his phone and complain about it..It was our first time though to experienced such...After another 30 minutes, we got another pizza which is the real one really! LOL!We end up having 2 large pizza..
Have you tried ordering online and you were not satisfied? Did you complain about it?

I have not ordered a pizza online but at least you know that it works. They did deliver, now the only problem is that the first one was not right. That would mean that they must have been really busy with orders and the person making them was rushing. But the did do good by the customer and sent out another pizza that was correct. The second one you didn't have to pay for. The only problem was the wait for the second one to come. The only thing might be cool, but call in after ordering to make sure that they get the order right the first time. Have a good one.

We have only ever ordered online once as we usually do it by phone.
But we had no problem with the order at all and would be happy to use them again.
One time we ordered by phone from a local pizza place and they ended up sending the wrong order but were very quick to replace it with the right order. So we ended up with a extra pizza at no extra cost.

Aww...I thought your husband found something in your pizza. Haha.
Anyways, I haven't tried ordering online, but before, we order through phone. We haven't experience this kind of problem because we already satisfied with the foods we ordered.

I have never ordered food online to be delivered but recently my daughter and her boyfriend phone to say the takeout was ready and when we got home half of it was missing and then had to drive back down and I complained because of the petrol costs and the fact that the other half of meal would have been cold by the time we got back to the house so they gave us a voucher for another meal. I am pleased to hear you enjoyed your pizza eventually. People don't complain enough if they receive bad service. I always do. Ellie :D

That time honestly I was fine since I am starving and don't mind what I am eating..LOL!But, great thing my hubby insisted! LOL!

I have never ordered food online yet, it is not something we need to do as we only live down the road from our takeaways so we could quite easily walk to them. Saying that though we do not walk to them, we pick up the phone and order that way!
We have never had a rubbish pizza delivered, the places around where we live absolutely cram the toppings on their pizzas they are really nice.

That's great gemini, It's actually our first bad experienced and we're always a satisfied customer of Papa JOhn,,I was teasing my husband, maybe the one who prepared this has a problem or broke up with a lover! LOL!

We ordered pizza the other night, and the lady on the phone told us it would be $22.40 - which was fine, that's what it should have been. When it arrived, the lad told us it was $24.99 - and showed us the docket. There was no reason for the extra charges, but we paid it anyway rather than argue while the pizzas went cold - only to find they hadn't put anchovies on one of them, and hadn't made a half'n'half of the other! So, not happy all round!

Maybe it was the delivery fee, we were charged $2 also and another $1 for delivery and tax respectively in our order and we got the second one all free..Well, they have to learn the lesson or they will be donating more additional pizza to unsatisfied customer..LOL!

No, our pizza place has a different price for delivery or pick-up - and the price she told my son on the phone was the correct price. I have no idea what happened in between her taking the order and the docket being printed out - it's a mystery. As for the missing topping, etc., it's just par for the course with them! Every time we've ordered, there's been some problem. You get used to it!

I have never ordered on-line but I have ordered deliveries that were either not right or burnt. Yes, I do call and let them know. With what you pay, you deserve to get what you ask for at least. It has only happened a couple of times and both times I got a free pizza.

hmmm
soo u had 2 pizza at price of one, one full pizza and other cheese pizza as complimentary, Sound good. well i dont order things online, however ionce wee few colleagues were out at lunch, and unfortunaely service of hotel was poor that day and buffet was not kept clean, we complained and manager says sorry and gives us 20% discount at final bill

Wow, that's cool! It's always nice to say something always when we see or experience bad services..it will help them in a way to be careful, since they will not love to be giving always a discount to their customers...Same as they don't want to give always another great pizza to unsatisfied customers..LOL!

yeah u r right, to get better services in future we should comments. and good companies always take them positively as its for their improvement. And other thing, companies know that UNSATISFIED customer is more dangerous for fame and can ruin their report, thats why they compensate to make it happy.
And ui am sure, customer also dont want discount or free pizaa, all they want better and delecious seving at the first time

hey checapricorn, even we order pizza but had never faced this problem. I have something to share- When i was in collage. Our group on sitting in the canteen one of my friend ordered sandwich, after having one bit he said "its not fresh" then my other friend tasted it, she also confirmed it but was confused. then my third friend tasted and said "dont eat give it back to him"
we notcied that more than half sandwich is eaten up. So we decided to take the sandwich and asked him to taste.. he said "its good". we all got angry and forced him to eat the whole sandwich..
We didnt got another sandwich but felt better. ,

I don't think it had anything to do with you ordering it online. You jsut got a pizza that someone was really cheap on making it. When you complained they made you another one and made sure it had lots of stuff on it. You probably would have gotten the same first pizza whether your ordered it online or by phone. I rarely order pizza in so I don't know if most companies are cheap always now on the meat or if they just made you a really cheap one. But it was good of the restaurant to send you another one at no charge. It shows they care about their customers and that is rare these days. It's usually all about the almightly dollar.

My husband said for sure they are doing it regularly and not a lot of people I guess will call and complain and they don't stop it..You can see really in the pizza that it was made like they are saving and budgeting a lot!
Well, they served a wrong person...LOL!

Only rarely do I ever order food online Che,the food always seems to go a little cold and then I need to warm it up in the microwave,thenit seems to lose its taste,so for me its a vicious circle,but I know a lot of people that do order food regularly and they are more than satisfied with it.The only thing with a pizza is that if you ordered it and it was delivered then if it was a little bit cold and you popped it in the micro to warm up then it would go a bit soggy.But im not really a complainer as such,I would have just put it down to experience.

If I was alone that time, I will eat it and forget about it..LOL! I complain but not really to the point of calling the place..But, my husband is like this which is good also at least the will not to that again to us..LOL!
Their place is only for take out, we can't eat it there!

I only have ordered online a couple time, once through domino's and the other through pizza hut. Both times have been sucessful. Which place did you order online from?

That's great princessdian, We ordered it at papa John and it was not our first time to order though, we did it a lot in the past, just the first time that my husband found out that it was not made correctly!

I've had pretty good luck ordering online, provided I did it with a major pizza company, dominos, pizza hut, papa johns.
I tried it once with a local company where the form just went to e-mail and no one bothered to check it so after an hour I called and canceled.

i never actually order pizza online before... never actually as my hubby is not a pizza lover... if i want to eat pizza, i usually dine in as i don't like to eat cold pizza... and ordering by phone or online usually create problems... either that we are not getting what we ordered and have to wait again or the food come to us already cold which i don't like... take care and have a nice day...

Thanks for dropping lingli! In Papa John here, it's always take out and they don't cater dine in plus quite far from the house and the most convenient is online ordering!

The only problem I ever had by ordering online is that it seemed to take longer to be delivered.
All the food places seem to be skimping on food these days though. I wonder if that is the problem. At least they replaced it though, even though you had to wait again to get it.

I've ordered from a few different places online before - Papa Johns, Dominos, and Pizza Hut. Papa Johns was a one time thing because they were expensive. The next time we tried to order, they wanted to add on fee because we were paying by check. We said forget it.
Dominos has been my worst experience. After I made my order, I waited and waited. An hour later and still no pizza. I finally called to ask about it and I was told that my order had been canceled. I asked her why and she couldn't tell me, just that it had been canceled. I told her it wasn't me so someone there had to do it. She was still clueless. When I hung up I decided to call back and ask to speak to the manager. She said she was the manager. She certainly wasn't acting like it. She was eager to get me off the phone. Didn't even bother to fix the problem. So I told her I would never order from them again and then I sent an email to Dominos about the problem. We live in another city now but haven't tried this Dominos yet.
It eventually worked out because after I hung up with Dominos, I got back online and ordered from Pizza Hut. They called a few minutes later to comfirm my order and less than half an hour I finally had my pizza. We've used them again and haven't had any problems.
It's nice to know that they were willing to work with you and make things right! If only everyone was like that. ;)

That is good that you got 2 for the price of one . They have messed up my orders many times, and that really bothers me . I would call and complain , but I am too shy , and my fiance says its not a big deal anyway . One time there was no cheese on the pizza and just meats . I was mad there , but he wouldn't take it back.

Try to call if you will experience that again..At least they know that you are not satisfied, at first we never thought of getting another one, our main aim is to just let them know!

We have done this multiple times. Only once did we ever have to complain and that was because it was very late and very cold. the place brought us new pizzas and threw in soda for the trouble. I guess maybe they had a new driver or something that got lost and that caused the delay. At least they made good on it. We usually just call for the pizza but if you do it online you can find some different specials or coupons.
