Every morning I like to start the day with 2 coffees, and these days International Roast is my choice, nothing else comes close. For some reason Lattes and Coffee made in the microwave makes me ill, so, unless i'm unwell and have water, 2 coffees start my day. However, all habits can be broken, but, HOW? Afterall, I enjoy these coffees while reading the paper....help!!

Well, would you want to break these habits? I wouldn't - I'm a diehard coffee addict and need coffee to wake me up and keep me going. And yup, International Roast is one of my favourites too, but I'll could only take this at home. So during the day, for our tea / coffee breaks, I'd take Nescafe, Coffee Bean, Starbucks, whichever is avaiblable. And one more coffee before bedtime - that's how coffee rules my day...I can't live without it; but wouldn't want to give it up!

There was a time when I drank coffee literally by the pot. In recent years, after having been told to stop, I'd cut back to 3 cups in the morning. A few months ago, I was given a choice...blood pressure pills or give up coffee. I'm on more pills than you'd believe already so I stopped the coffee cold turkey. A few days of miserable headaches later and I'm okay. My blood pressure is the best thing about me now. I sneak a sample sized cup every few days at the store and have an occasional cup at a restaurant. All in all, I miss it but my life isn't any worse without it. I must disclose that I'm a disabled homebody who doesn't have to deal with going to work every morning...kind of makes it easier. What is the big deal with lattes anyway? To me the best coffee is just that, coffee.

hmmmm, blood pressure! I'm thinking it's almost time for me to give it up, doctors orders. My problem will be early mornings, if i'm to be home all the time now, being an earlybird means coffee. Coffee made with hot milk makes me sick, overrated anyhow.

As you said, it is just a habit. You can simply stop them, if this is what you wish. You must understand and realize that you are not addicted to it, come, think about it...you only like its taste. But, you like other tastes too, right? What about a chocolate instead, or a glass of milk? But now i wonder, why do you wanna quit it? Are they causing health problems?

Then perhaps you can find yourself another way to enjoy reading the paper with the coffee...
