I have seen some profiles where the member has not have any activity for 60-90 months. What could be the reason why they have not logged on to myLot? Maybe they have found a better site that pays more money. Maybe they have run out of ideas to post. What else could be the reason?Just Curious, SFC

I know like with my Referrals that I have had personal contact with as a Friend, or a Business acquaintance from another Business, that the reason most of them have ever quit being active here, was that they think that this site does not pay enough or fast enough, so they leave because they were here only for the money. Then some of the people only post on here every once in a while, for due to being really busy with other things going on in their life, and usually end up ever forgetting that this site even still exists. Personally, in the 21 months that I have been a member here, I have seen a lot of people come and go. A lot of Great people have chosen to leave here for various reasons as well. For me, it has truly been about the wonderful friends and people I have met while being a member here, more than the money. And where else can you really talk about almost anything you want to and get responses back from people all over the world. myLot Rocks.

i think that the people who come here solely for the money will be the ones who loose interest first, i initially came here for the money but have quicky grown to love mylot and also the new friends i have made here, i enjoy reading and posting and i think thats why i stay the money is just a bonus in my opinion. if you are here just for the money and not the interest then i think they will get bored very quickly

I agree with grace (the first user to reply to this discussion), most users come here for money and when the realize that a) it takes work t make money with MyLot, and b) you don't make that much money, they decide to leave. I've been absent for a few months now until recently, but that was because I got a new full-time job that required me to be away for a while.

Well, the things you mention are maybe some of the reasons why they are not here today or why they did not contribute here. Other people have no time to spend sharing their ideas. I have invited so many people to mylot but I only have 2 signed up and only 1 is active. They are not simply interested to spend time here. I like mylot though I am not earning much and most are not either, but it is a nice place to meet people who have ideas and willing to share. That is the thing I like it here in mylot.

well maybe they are busy that's why they haven't visited mylot for a long time, or maybe they got bored coz there's no discussions that interests them

I'm new here, so I think that I can relate to the cut and runner-s. The friend who referred me here found this on a sick day, and sent an email out encouraging people to check it out, had I not been so bored I would have probably ignored it. A discussion board that pays out? What kind of discussions are those! But I took time to navigate around, and there are some interesting discussions on here, so I may end up being a regular. But who knows?

well, there are various reasons for this... some of them got abused by the trolls... some of them got their posts deleted by mylot for no obvious reasons... some of them think that the payment is too low and it doesn't worth their time and effort here... some find a more rewarding site that pay them more... and some of them simply didn't have the time to spend here... take care and have a nice day...

i am unfortunately myself a similar case...i have now signed in to mylot after about 5 to 6 months..there are several reasons for that the primary one being that i am a student and don't find much time to log in here instead of getting online here i prefer msn and yahoo as this site is quite heavy and takes a lot of time to open...in developing countries like mine the net speed is not good and hence we are unable to sign in to such heavy sites..most of the times i get a message saying that the page cannot be displayed and as a consequence i leave the page and go to some other site where i can interact with people..may be other people are also facing some similar reasons and problems..moreover i have not been able to earn enough money from here upto now..it has been 2 years since i joined this site but despite all my early efforts i was able to earn only $12 and still am devoted to it..i hope that the situation will become better now

The reason? Human nature! We cannot expect every single person that gets introduced to this site to be inspired by it. I have made four referrals and not one of them seemed to have the same affinity for myLot that I have found! We all have different things that motivate us in life I guess. And in my opinion, ANYONE that sees money as the prime motivator will not generally last very long on here as it is not really lucrative in this regard. Unless you had a massive number of active referrals and spent considerable time on here yourself on a day to day basis I do not see a means to make your fortunes here! I am here because I find it intellectually stimulating and an escape from my day to day stuff!

From what i saw and read, the main reason is that they find it to slow to earn in mylot and they dun really know how to go about being in mylot.. As mylot is slightly different from other forums and threads is being started ina different way.. Thus, they get confused and with the updates being twice a day, most will think that it's a waste of time and they dun get any earnings at all..

Maybe they just find sites that can make more money than mylot? Or they just go out on a very long vacation. Maybe people find discussion no longer attractive to them. Hope these people will occasionally come back and check out what is going on here.

some leave from mylot because they were sujected to minusing by the trolls that love to hurt people and reduce tens down to five and sixes, and some leave because they expected to make a ton of money in five days, and some leave for family problems, and tons of other reasons. And some never were that interested in the first place.

good day. Some member join here solely for earning money and maybe they are in need of it. Mylot don't pay that much but it pays and one can have fun while a it. This website is primarily for interaction and a little earning on the side. Maybe most them hunts and risk to join sites that promises bigger payout.

I agree. I came across a lot of profiles too. Too bad. If there are a lot of reasons to stay with myLot, I think there are a lot of reasons not to. Just the absence of whatever motivates people will make them leave. Looking at it, people who wants to get high income through the website and learned that it is not easy at all, may loose focus and leave. Probably, students who used to post in myLot are now working and part of the labor force. Some people that used to have internet connections have none. Some people who got busy with work may not have time to post. Some women may have gotten a kid and remained focused at home. Some men may have had families since then and would like to work real hard for the family. A lot of possibilities - good or bad. People come and go. Sharers of thoughts would change. The most important thing is - they have shared a part of them. And that is imprinted here in my Lot. We will make contact with them sooner or later. The thought makes me smile. Good day!

I think it might be the difficulty in finding real discussions. I know I have to wade through a bunch of "what's your name?" "what's your favorite color?" or people starting games, that have nothing to do with actual discussions. Or, someone asking a question with only one right answer, and once someone gets it, there's no point in anyone else posting. I think people who are here for the money (I never know why that's looked down upon) would be willing to stay and work and build up the pennies bit by bit if, again, there were discussions, like there are supposed to be.

Definitely there will be a lot of reason for this. Personally when I took a leave or vacation here in mylot it was because I had somehow lose my interest. I get tired of seeing the same kind of topic discussion and seems like no one caught my interest and attention anymore. It's like doing the same thing over and over again. But it had changed when I have return due to curiosity to see if my earnings had somehow increases. Due to my long absence I could see and response to a lot of discussions. So whenever I get bored in mylot, I will just take 1-2 days off and return with a lot of new topic discussion to share and respond to.

There was a time when I took a break from myLot. That was for about 3 months. My reason was that I have become very busy with work and some personal stuffs. Other members here probably have the same reasons. In fact, for the past few weeks, I have seen some members who made a comeback. Some of them have the same reasons as I did some months back. Others said that they had to move to another place and when they did, they had a hard time looking for a good internet service provider. Well, for the others, I do not really what their reasons are. Maybe, they found some greener pastures.

I think the main thing is that a lot of people originally come here for the money and don't end up reading the rules. They go and post and post and post & they're like. "My earnings aren't going up! ", and at which point they're probably convinced the site is a scam. Most people that I ask why they've become inactive.. that's pretty much what they say to me! People are just getting too used to instant gratification lately. If they don't have it almost immediately they start to complain. It could be any number of things though, from maybe they just aren't as creative as they thought, to they don't really find the discussions entertaining to, maybe someone just frustrated them and they don't feel like dealing with that member!

Here are some reasons that this may happen **they signed up because a friend asked them to (I have 2 of these), and they decided that it wasn't really for them. **they thought that they could earn big money with little effort (there is no such thing) **they signed up and then forgot about it, or are no longer on the internet (I've forgotten some, before) I'm sure there are many, many more reasons, but I think if there is no activity for a very long period of time, MyLot should purge them...

Plenty of people don't have the time to be on online forums to begin with. They join mylot because they think they will get money so its not "wasting" time. Then they don't get enough money to justify the time that they have to spend on here. Other times, people just get wrapped up in life and forget about it. It happens on most forums that users go inactive.
