What do you think, should be my next move? I have an 7 year old who is very Hyper and has and aggressive behavior at most times. Pitches fits, fights my other children when he can't have his way, he has never tried to hit me or talk back or anything but when he doesn't like something he throws, screams, kicks, crys....and it feels like I'm the one having a problem. Like i'm going insane or something....any suggestions?
He has a therapist and everything but to me its doing no justice.

My son is 8. He was diagnosed with ADHD almost a year ago. He has been on 3 different medications. The first 2 did not really do anything. He is on Vyvanse now. It is working really well. It sounds to me from what you described that he may have something else in addition to the ADHD.

One of my friends has two children. She swears up and down that their behavior is directly related to the foods they eat. Doctors (and teachers) have tried to get her to medicate her kids, but she won't. Instead, they are fed almost totally organic foods--no artificial colors or flavors! I know it's hard to deny your kids the same snacks that all the other kids are having, but she says it's worth it.
This is something you might look into, at least try to cut down on the red dye in foods (I think that's the one she says is really bad).

My grandson was diagnosed with ADHD and ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder) at a very early age. They did not put him on medication until he was turned 6 and they put him on Ritalin. On him it worked just the opposite to what it was supposed to and we were at our wits end with his behaviour. A couple of spells in the lock-up ward of the hospital did no good. He has been through trials with numerous meds. Some worked for a while then it was back to the same old thing. Some of the meds made him gain an atrocious amount of weight. He was diagnosed at age 18 with Bi-Polar disorder so here we are now - he is 21 and still a handful to live with. My house is a total wreck where he has had temper tantrums and punched holes in the walls and doors. My thoughts are with you.
