I think it is very important to choose proper environment to listen to music. My ideal setting is a dark room with a bed and then I am sitting on the bed with my eyes closed. It gives me pure peace and quietness to enjoy real music and seek the soul of music.

I like listening to music in a quiet place. It keeps me relaxed while meditating.

my ideal is in the car, during the summer with the sunroof open and the music cranked! This is so liberating to me :) Then again, it depends on what kind of music i'm listening to also. Soft music in bed, upbeat music in the car. That's how it works for me ;)

Most of my time is spent listening to music. I listen to my music in all sorts of environments. I let the music take me away rather then me taking the music away. My music taste depends on outside circumstances being that when I am in pain, which is most of the time I listen to Heavy MEtal as it gets me in a bad mood and makes me forget about my pain, if I need to relax, I listen to Classical music, if I am just listening to music then I listen to a little bit of everything.
I firmly believe in music therapy as I do not like to take medication.
HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

I think music is a good way not only to have fun or make your mood a bit, but to help pass time. So, i always liek listening to music at car while driving, especially when there is much traffic and have to stay in car for long.
Other than that, listening to music in my room is always something very satisfying and enjoyable

Most of the time I'm sitting in my car when I'm listening to music, or going on a trip somewhere. Most often I like to put in Broadway songs because they're not only easy to follow and pick up, but lots of fun to sing, especially while you're stuck in traffic. I mean, what would you prefer- getting road rage at the idiots in front of you, or just lightly rolling your eyes at them while you're singing your favorite part of the big number? That's how I look at it, anyway.
Otherwise, I'll be at a computer, or maybe doing my yoga. In those cases I like quiet background music- maybe classical, or jazz.
