Before I married, I was a member of a big family (I was the youngest one) in my country (Iraq), we are 4 females and 4 males with father and mother we will be 10, we are all old now and every one have his life, but I remember my big family now and I like to tell you about them a little, I admire what my father and mother do to make us grow up with loving to each other and caring for each other, it is hard to control this number of members family, I had realized that when I have my 2 kids and how hard to educate them and take care of them, how our parents could do that with that 8 members of one family.
How many members are in your family? and how could parents take care with more than 3 members?

I come from a family of 6 and am the oldest. My husband comes from a family of 8 and he's the youngest. My dad's Mom had 12 kids and she married a man who had 17. That's 29 kids. I have no idea how they ever managed that many kids at once. My dad can barely remember all his siblings names as he grows older. It's crazy!

No, you have never called a child by the wrong name Walker, but you did call me MARY once!! haha And don't use the excuse that that's my middle ame, even though it is. It's still your ex-wife's FIRST name, and no one EVER EVER calls me Mary! hahahahaha
I love you anyway.
Love
Your FAVOURITE (and last) wife!!!!!!

I am very proud to say, I have never slipped and called one of my kids by the wrong name. My ex wife, who only had two to keep track of, would do this all the time. I know who my children are, and I know what their names are. I've never made the mistake.

my mum and dad separated while we was living in Australia.. So was my mum, brother and me came back to england. She remarried years later and he had 2 sons living with him. So ended up being 3 boys and me.. And that was difficult for my mum, she would make comments on the amount of time standing over the sink pealing many potatoes haha. Later my mum become pregnant, i was really pleased my mum had a girl, as being in a family of 3 boys and me, id get teased much.
so was 5 children in the family in end. Which is considered a big family in England as the normal amount of children be 2 or 3
I never saw any of my actual dads side of family, as he stayed in Australia while we came back to england when i was very young.. He remarried and know he had children, so i have half brothers/sisters out there somewhere..

I have a total of 10 children. 6 girls, 4 boys. Several of them are the children of the women I married, but they are my children, just the same.
6 of my children are biologically mine. I love them all of the same.

I thought that China had a 1 child per family policy. I am not being critical, I am interested in understanding.

In my family there were just my parents, my older sister, and myself.
My parents divorced and re-married. My mother married a man with no children, and my father married a woman with two children. Neither couple had ay more children.
My sister got married, but she and her husband don't want children, and it is the same with my husband and I. We don't want to have children either.

I've got 10! That's enough! I love you for you. Neither of us needs anything else to cement us.

Thank you, Walker. I hear way too many people say that they hould have talked about children before the wedding. I'm GLAD you and I did. As you said, there really was' much to talk about. I love you for YOU and there's really no need for us to bring more people into this crazy world.

There are six of us in total. It was seven, but unfortunately my grandma passed away six years ago. And one of my aunts lives in another town so there are only five of us in the house. And I live with all chicks, lol. It can be chaotic around here sometimes. Luckily, my mom only had me and didn't have to deal with more than once kid, lol. Big families are fun though.

I'm also from a big family. My parents had seven children and I was smack dab in the middle. :o) I have three brothers and three sisters. My Mom was wonderful and I credit most of my rasing to her. My Dad was a drunk until I was thirteen years old and then he quit drinking, never to take another drink. I do admire him for that.
None of us have ever been in any trouble of any kind nor do any of us drink. I think we saw enough of that growing up.
I have two boys that are grown now, and yes I did sometimes wonder how Mom got through the days sometimes. But we all had chores to do. So I think big families learn to work together to make it possible for such a household to run smoothly.
We were poor, but we were very happy. As we grew older each of us worked making a little money to help out with getting our school clothes and school supplies.
We lived in the country and raised most of our food. We always had a garden and raised a few hogs and chickens and of course cows. That was a big help in feeding that many people.
Only one of us went to college though. My oldest sister became a nurse. All the other's went to tech. schools or learned on the job. Life was just easier back then.
I think it would be much harder to raise a family that large these days.

We are a family of 5 consisting of my mother, myself, my wife, my brother and my kid. My brother is doing his PG and am funding for the same. my kid has just got into elementary school. The ways prices are moving up its getting difficult to meet the expenses. I have for that sake joined up for one more job that of a Insuarance selling agent. Have been kind of OK so far in selling the same. And also have made a decent sum of money. So I think I will tide over the prices rise for now. But if any further increase in prices will again put our lives into knots. Hope for the best that there is no more of a price increase.

In my family there is my mom and dad, my brother, and me. If you count pets then I have a dog too. My family really hasn't got any bigger or smaller sense my brother was born. My relatives as a whole, we've gotten 1 new toddlers to my mom's side of the family and another on the way. I think smaller families are better because attention doesn't have to be split up so much and kids are easier to control and teach.

I live in North Carolina, USA
My mom and dad are still living.
I have 1 older brother
me
4 younger sisters
and 1 younger brother
so, 7 kids!
Times get tough, but a few of us family members stick together.
The rest are wrapped up in their little worlds and act like they
think they are better than everyone else. (wrong)
It's sad, because one day some may wish they hadn't been the way they are...
Nice to hear about you!

Hello, alkurishy!
We are a family made of four members. It's my father, my mother, my brother and I. My mother is the oldest in our family, and my brother is older than me. We also have a dog, which I consider to be a part of the family, but he doesn't count as a human. My parents always raised us with all they could give, they are the best parents. Without them, I wouldn't be here right now, I wouldn't have learned so many things from life.
Respectfully,
Munhozmib.

There are only me, my brother and my mother in my house. But my family seems to be 'extended'. When i was 5 my father married another woman, and they had a child together, and she already had one from a previous relationship. Then dad left her for another woman!! Who has 7 daughters! The arguments in that house are petrifying!!

I have four members in my family- mother, father, brother and me. But as far as my mother is concerned, she has ten siblings. In those days it was possible as the older brother or sisters used to look after the younger ones. But now it is not possible because both husband and wife are working. Moreover the cost of education has also increased.
