I have this step-daughter of mine that when it is her period, I mean menstrual period, that whenever she changes her pad, she just leave used pad where she changed it. In the bathroom. In the bedroom.
I am always telling her to place used pads in its proper place. I don't just put it there, wrap it first before putting it in the trash can. My goodness, she had already learned it.
So what do you hate during your period? All are welcome to share their views, even men like me.

What I hate when girls have their period is that they make it as an excuse for most of their irrational actions and behaviors. A lot of girls I know are actually able to handle this hormone rush quite well but some really just blame it all on their period even it has really nothing to do with it. I also agree with you neil when girls leave their pads where they used it.

Listen... the "rush of hormones" along with the period itself affects every single woman DIFFERENTLY... some have actual health issues that make the hormones that are released not be properly adjusted.. so that they are left almost helpless at the hands of their hormones....anyway... I am sure that there are some women out there that milk it... but there are also 10 times as many that are actually suffering... headaches, bloating , cramps, bleeding like you've been shot repeatedly for 3-7 days.. and that's only for a normal period... there are some women out there that have a period every other week... and even the women who should have periods and can't because of their health issues/hormone probs.... I think men like to think they know how it works.. but really have no idea.. lol, but as far as the whole "leaving the pads all over the place" thing... well that is just gross.... ;)

That was my problem too with my stepdaughter before. I did really taught her how to use napkins, how to change it, wrap it after changing and how to put it in the trash. Whenever she changes, I see to it that it was properly wrapped and thrown in the right place. Glad she listens. What I really hate most whenever I had my monthly period is my dysmenorrhea. Oh my God, whenever I have it, I was really in pain and can't even get up. It is always accompanied with leg cramps. Glad I'm really careful so I haven't got stains. LOL. Blood stains are really hard to wash! Happy postings. HUGZ!

Ladies, ladies, ladies, you know to change your pad in the bathroom, put it back in a wrapper either toilet paper or the wrapper of the last pad you put on and throw it in the garbage can in the bathroom. I hate it when girls do nasty things like leaving it anywhere the please, do not do that, it is gross and offensive. Put it where it belongs and that is in the trash can. Men, you know that women are taught this and if they have not been told this, I am saying it now. I am a woman and I cannot stand when I see other women leaving their tampons and used pads where they should not be. The trash can was invented for a reason, so use it.

She should be reminded always because some girls are not cautious about personal things. Monthly period come and go for me, nothing unusual as I don't feel any pain or mood swings. Sometimes I wonder why there were girls who are irritable and moody and its all because of their period. I do have mine, but I'm not like that.

Monthly period is something most women like me hate and some even dread because of the painful menstrual cramps. It has in fact become a monthly problem for most women. because it makes us bedridden during the first day. Aside from the pain, I also hate me messy feeling of putting a feminine napkin and then get stains once when caught unaware. And also I hate the fact that it limits my activities because I have to be careful that any heavy work done might cause heavy flow.
Any woman for this matter does not have any excuse, not even the pain, exempts us from doing the proper way in handling all the mess brought about by menstruation. We must dispose all our used napkins properly and don't just leave them unwrap in the bathroom not even in the garbage. Whenever I dispose my napkin, I make sure that I wrap it properly and seal it in a garbage bag so that no one will see. It makes me sick whenever I go to public toilets and see improperly disposed napkin. It is a reflection of a woman's personality. It shows how careless, how sloppy, how irresponsible and how untidy a woman is.

I hate it when I get my period because I know I get cranky and there is little I can do about it. My tummy hurts and a lot of times I actually get sick and I will not be able to keep any food in because everything I eat will upset my stomach and it will come back around with in no time... ugh.
Not cleaning up your pads/towels is a dirty thing, it's a good habit cleaning up after yourself especially with things like these. It's hard for me to grasp why a person would do this... I hope she comes around and start cleaning up after herself as she is part of the household and everybody needs to chip in. Cleaning your own mess is the least you can do.

I hate it when my girlfriend get irritated easily when they are having their period! That is how my girlfriend is, and she also said that it is normal for girls to feel the same way when they are having their periods.

Hi my friend neildc. Your step-daughter had to learned it early, and thanks to you. Well, since childhood my Mother trained me to wash my own underwear's and how to properly dispose sanitary napkins in to the trashcan. I have a cousin who act like that, and sadly until now she has no initiative to wash her undies and even properly dispose napkins. And her Mother who is the one who is washing her undies, imagine 18 years old. I guess I have nothing to do with this. As early age a young girl should properly oriented on her proper hygiene.
Anyway, what I hate during period Dysmenorrhea, this really triggers me to be lazy and to be bored. I got this PMS symptoms and I feel nauseated sometimes, constipated or like I'm blowing off (sorry). Anyway, I don't take any medicine for that, just rest and hot compress or drink some hot coffee or chocolate to get relax. Thanks for the post! Take care and happy myLot.

I wouldn't leave the used pad at the placec in case the next person going to use the washroom is a guy. Even the guys may be our close siblings or relative, but not nice too, feel like not hygien.
The thing I most hate during the period is the pain I'm facing, such annoying.

Wow. That's really gross. I always wrap mine up in the wrapper and put it in the trash can. If I had a daughter that did that, I would punish her. That's really nasty.

Ah, I hope one day she will get rid of them the proper way . It's not too nice to come across such an intimate thing, and kinda gross. When I was a teen I would wrap mine and put in the bathroom waste basket ,and the dang dog would find it and make a mess . Now that was annoying and we had to get one with a lid . What I hate is the water weight and the pms . Just the way you feel . I am just so worn when I have mine . Makes me loco

wow this is one discussion you posted neildc. well can't blame you if you feel that way. what if you put the used pads on her bed. just to make her realize how unhygienic it is for her to leave it anywhere. i'm so sorry it sounded too disgusting for other people here. but i can't think a way you can actually discipline her because your a man. maybe it's different if another woman would tell her. don't you think? it might made a difference if your wife or any girl friends would tell her that.
