How often do yoiu take a break?
You can get posture problems, fuzzy vision, and headaches if you concentrate too long.
What is your maximum time?
For me it's two hours before I JUST have to have a break. Get up, walk round, have a drink, and get my focus back.

I agree it's important to have frequent breaks when using a computer. I usually take short breaks and one long break during a working day. I have several coffee breaks - and I know a lot of coffee is not good for me, but it does make me get up from my chair and walk to the kettle, and while I'm there I can look out of the window.
I have just returned from a three and a half hour break when I went out and walked, shopped and enjoyed myself. Now I will work again for a few hours more. I started at 7 this morning and stopped after four hours.

I can stand way more time staying in front of computer screen. I can do like 8 hours without break, except for WC or water. Usually i dont get headaches, but sometimes they appear if i have read for much time text at the screen. Especially if the site background is dark, headaches come faster and they are more intense. It has to do with eyes focusing on the text I guess.
I know it isnt very healthy, but sometimes I just cant avoid it.
happy mylotting and have a nice day!

It is the essential to take small breaks when we are working in front of the computer for a long time. Today almost every person in doing a job is sitting in front of the computer and so they have two take care of few things to do that they can be healthy. The biggest problem is we get a lot of backing because of the position in which we sit. It is very essential that we keep on changing our position a little bit so that the body is not get stiff. Or I is a continuously exposed to radiation so it is very essential for us to go and splashed some water on our eyes so that they do not get dehydrated completely because its irritation and bad headaches is to them there are also a few things which are very much necessary like iffy taken lands and then immediately sit in front of the computer when it is not a very good idea to do. We should walk a little before setting up in front of the computer because of stomach is pressed in the position when they sit. Apart from that it is all is advisable to do some light exercises in the morning to keep the body physically fit because of the fall for a good performance we need to be both physically and mentally fit. Apart from that I have also seen that if you were continuously than after certain time it is very hard to concentrate. Brain gets tired of the same thing and so it is very much important that we take a break opus on something else and then come up to the computer and do the work again. For I is it is advisable that we do small exercises in between light when the continuously exposed to the tradition of computer that is better to shift the focus from the monitor to something which is not moving and concentrate on it for some time. It will give the eyes of some rest which is very much essential and the splashing of the water is which I told previously is also very important.

If I am at home, I can really only stand to be on the computer an hour or two and I get up. If I am working at a job where I have to sit in front of the computer, it's a little harder. My bosses would notice when I get up and am not sitting down doing my work. But, at my current job, I have to stand more than I sit, so it's not so bad. Mostly, my butt and back hurts when I sit at the computer. I don't really get headaches from that.

I usually try not to be as static on my seat. What I usually do is I spin around while on my chair. I move around as well, move my feet up, slouch at the desk and change the direction where I face. I can't recall however what was the longest time I've been in front of a computer before taking a break. Maybe about an hour or 2.
If I stay long enough though, I get sleepy most of the time especially if I'm typing the entire time. I try to fight it by typing while standing up. I drink water and try to find something small to eat or even just chew. I do give in easily though if I start to close my eyes.

I know that I ought to move every 40 minutes. But 90 - 120 is much more common. I try not to spend the day on the computer, I feel that I am wasting time. As I can only write in short bursts I find it very easy to do half an hour and then maybe come on myLot, or look something up. There comes a point where leaving my chair is difficult!! It is very easy just to sit here and lounge. But the garden needs my attention and pots don't wash themselves etc. Now, just another ten minutes......

If I am going to be on the computer for a long time then I do take a lot of breaks. I get fed up of sitting typing for long periods of time, and the concentration gives me a headache after a while and so I am always up and down! I could not sit for two hours without having a break though that is a long time. I try to remember to keep my posture but more often than not I slump!

Well, a lot of times, it depends on the situation. On Mondays like today, which is my day off, I do spend most of my day online in front of the Computer. Either checking Email, in myLot, or both. I do try to find time to take breaks and do other things, but it is also easy to allow time to slip away if you let it as well. All I can say, is that we all need balance in whatever we tend to do in life, and learning how to find that balance is something we need as well.

I often spend days in front of the computer, but regular trips to make myself a coffee, go to the toilet, or get up to gaze out of the window helps me stretch my legs and give my eyes a break. Sometimes I just sit there and close my eyes and daydream. Three hours is the maximum before I start to fidget and feel I just need to stretch my legs, trouble is you get so carried away with what you are involved with that you don't notice the time!
