So here I am in the time of my life where I need to start changing habits so that I can be healthier. I have started eating better and excersising. I was walking down the hallway a work and stopped in a ta friends office to tell him happy birthday. We started talking about things and I was telling him how I was excercising and doing so well. He laughed a little and pointed to my hands. There in one hand was a Diet Mountain Dew. In the other was 2 pieces of Pepperoni Pizza left over from the night before. :) I never even realized what I was holding in my hands. How embarrassing. I laughed it off, but it made me realize that I need to DO more than TALK. Have you ever been caught with your hand ing the cookie jar, literally perhaps? What did you do?

I am one of those women famous for an ice cream soda with diet cola, or eating a pizza with diet soda. I have a number of diet rules that I have accumulated from the Internet and other places over the years. 1. Chocolate doesn't count. 2. If you eat it in secret it doesn't count. 3. If you eat it in the presence of other people, it doesn't count. 4. If you eat standing up it doesn't count. etc. You get the idea.

So you are always on the "It doesn't count diet". I like that. Perhaps we can start an affiliate web program to sell that ebook. :)

Lol! Well i follow weight watchers and i am allowed to eat anything on the plan. I had a bar of chocolate in my hands when i was telling my boyfriend how well i was doing and that i had lost 7 pounds I was allowed the chocolate though, because i had eaten really well all day and he just looked so confused, poor thing! So i looked like i was just lying to him lol

Same here. I really was treating myself because I was not eating the amount I was allowed. I am staying way under. Of course the excersize helps too. I am not WAY over weight but enough to know I would like to loose a bit to feel better.

I used to go back and forth between eating healthy and eating junk but 2 years ago I really changed and haven't gone back. I cut out sodas, over processed foods, corn syrup, hydrogenated fats, and enriched flour, and foods with artificial ingredients. Between the good foods I eat and exercising almost everyday I feel so much better mentally and physically.

I've cheated on diets so much I literally dont go on them any more. I think the best thing we can do is to be more conscious of our eating. I am trying to discipline myself to keep a food diary. They said on the news that people that keep a food diary can lose like twenty pounds more than those that dont.

Very interesting. I will have to look into that. Although I may have to keep a food Novel. :-)

Diet is one of those 4 letter words in my vocabulary! LOL I tend to look for the easy way out in losing weight. NOT EXERCISING!!! Of course you could call chasing after 3 boys and a husband with ADD exercise. I like to eat to much to diet. Although I should since I weigh about 40 more pounds now than I did when I graduated 9 years ago.
