Hi dear friend
thats nice and dont worry u r not alone in this ADDICTION. mylot is such a nice site that after spending some time here , u get addicted to it, when ever u start discussion u get anxious as to see how many people respond to it, and u also want to know what differnt people from differnt regions think about it. the same case when u respond to new discussions
Its natural and i do it my self, i called it sweet Addiction
i was just saying, its nice social ssite rather than paying, and u like it with differnrt people , friend and u can outburst ur feelings and idea
Keep it up
Take care

If you are wierd then I am wierd too. And I am happy to know now that I am not the only one who behaves like this. Now I have you for company. I too keep checking my inbox for notifications every few minutes for responses. And I have a few good friends here who always reply to my discussions. And when I dont see their responses I get very very disappointed.

Sometimes I get that way too.
Just now, I finished updating the one
discussion I had posted today and was
sad to see that there were no new
responses to give.
Oh, well! Today was a slow day anyway.
Maybe tomorrow!

If there's time, I do this, too. Often, though, I can't find time and, by the time I'm able to get back on myLot, the discussion has grown quite a bit. That's such a pleasant surprise! I'm really glad when that happens, though.

I really enjoy reading and replying to responses to my discussions. My mail is always open and I check it hourly when I'm working on the computer. No, you're not weird! I get a little disappointed if nobody replies soon, but I remind myself that people do other things than sit in front of a computer!

Yup, I do that too, and get rather anxious, then sad, when no one responds. So, to overcome this, I would post a discussion, then 'disappear' - do my shopping, cleaning, go to work, whatever - to tear myself away from the computer. And sometimes it'd be a pleasant surprise, at the end of these activities, to find some responses in my mail box.
As to friends' discussions, I'll check each time I log into myLot - wouldn't want to miss any of them.
Have a good day, and happy myLotting!

Yeah that is what i do too. Day ago i did discussion about "your first touch with computer" and i was so happy when it did receive over like 15 replies it looked so nice in my email account. I guess its just nice to see that someone bothers to answer to your discussion. Anyway i am trying to get to my head more nicer and more interesting ideas of discussions and i hope i can reach over 100 replies someday. Now i made it to todays top discussions and when i saw that i was like "oh my god that is so cool" and i was bursting with happiness

Don't worry, nupats. What you're doing is just normal. I do it, too sometimes when I start my own discussion. Especially, when I feel that the topic of my discussion might earn instant responses. Usually, I'm hoping that the title of my discussion might be an instant eye-catcher.
I check my email daily. Not only to see if I've received any notifications from Mylot. But to check of personal emails from my loved ones.
I do feel a little disappointed when my expectations are not met. For example, after posting my discussion, I check back after 10-15 minutes if it already has a few responses. But when almost an hour has passed, and still nothing, I resolve to myself that it might not earn any response.
But fortunately, I never had a discussion with zero responses. There are 4 of my discussions, I think, that only earned a single response.

I am the same way. After I start a discussion I check back several times for the rest of the day to see if there are any responses. I also get a little sad when I don't see and responses on my questions or discussions. Have a wonderful day, I hope you get lots of answers to this discussion.

Hi nupats,
I don't often start a discussions, but I'm goint to start one in a minute, I don't get very many responses to my discussions so when I do get a response I'm wuite plased, usually I open my mail first and reponse to my friends that started their discussion and then I go over to my home page and see what in todays topics and then I may start my own discussion. Enjoy yourself.

Everyday I post quite a number of discussions,so normally I will wait for the responses. I never check my mail box to see any responses in it or not. But I always wait in Mylot because if I am free,I will stay in Mylot for the whole day. It's true,I am feeling excited and happy every time I have the inspiration to post something interesting, cannot wait to share with Mylotters, lol.

I keep going to my email to check as often as I can so I must
be wierd to. If I don't get them I feel sad too. I've only been
doing this for a week but I'm already a Mylot addict! I still
don't have the hang of it. I have just started A Discussion about
Discussions to explain my dilema. I feel bad when just about no
one comments on my discussions and I don't get credit from Mylot.
I guess I'm still trying to get the hang of it.

To start off, it's "weird", nupats, not "wiered". Well, I whole-heartedly agree with you. I start very few discussions here, only because of the fact that more often than not, I'm disappointed with the number of responses. I also keep opening my email account after posting a discussion and am overjoyed when I see the heading "New Response-....." in the inbox. I can't wait to open my account in myLot and get to my discussion to see the responses and give nice comments to them. But that happens very rarely, and more often, my discussions have gone without getting responses or received scanty responses. Only very rarely,(I think perhaps two of them) have got more than 10 responses. When I open my mail, I now only expect comments to my responses, and nothing else. I think I deserve at least that. The day even that stops happening, perhaps I'll leave myLot altogether.

Hello nupats,
When I start a discussion, I am also anxious to see if it gets any response or not. I don't start too many discussions and everytime I start one this feeling still exist. To pass on the suspense, I start looking for new discussions to post to. Then I check if I see some response. If I see someone responses. I immediately check it out and give comments. Even though comments is not important to other I make sure to give one. This also help to keep you discussions active and to be seen by other mylotters and it will get it more chances to get responses. I did not setup my preferences to received
responses on my email, I just login to mylot and check it here. Once I get a response , I feel relief and now can go to do it again. Isn't that exciting.
