Is it a myth that women can multi-task?

Hello. I cannot remember exactly when this buzzword started, but over the last two years it seems to me that women have been granted by God this new wonderful gift of Multi-tasking. However, whenever a girlfriend answers with the remark: "Sure didn't you know that women can multi-task?", I have this image of an octopus pop into my head. I am a little sceptical, as I know some women, who are completely helpless, but what do you think?

Women can multi-task. I can multi-task and it makes life easier for me and for other women. There might be some women who can't multi-task but I think that the majority of us are able to multi-task. Multi-tasking is a wonderful gift because when I multitask I am able to do so many things.

Hello ayumitakashi. Nice to hear from you! I am sorely tempted to ask - what were you doing at the same time as you were writing your comment? That would be a very interesting survey to add to this discussion. So I can safely assume that you are a full believer in Multi-Tasking, although we are agreed that some women cannot do it at all. Thanks for your reply :-)
All the very best from Germany.

Hi Umart,
I believed in that and we can prove that by our own Mother and to all Mother in the world!
Those who are full time mother who takes care of their baby, clean the house, do the laundry, fold the clothes, prepare food and maintain the cleanliness of the house and for those who have career and still doing the same thing, isn't that amazing?!
I am not that in stage but I know I can accomplish several things to in my regular routine! This is not a myth...LOL! Love this post!
