I drink water constantly. I used to be an avid coffee drinker. Over a year ago, I decided coffee wasn't doing me any good, so stopped drinking it. I haven't had even a sip of coffee since then. I start off the morning drinking water with breakfast. I have water with my lunch (I'm drinking water now), and I usually drink water with my dinner. Sometimes I might drink ice tea or coke, according to what we are having. But, I usually sit with a glass of water by my side all the time when I am computing. I think it has helped me drop a few pounds since you don't get the feeling of having to have something to eat with a glass of water like you do a cup of coffee.

I had absolutely no problem stopping coffee drinking. I wasn't an addict to the caffeine, so it has never bothered me. I miss it sometimes with pie or cake, but otherwise, I'm fine. I've never missed it enough to drink it again. I go by my Daddy's words....'if a food bothers me, I just never touch it again'. And there were many he just laid down, although he loved them, but it bothered him and he would quit eating it.

I have my own bottle on the ref, it's 700ml. I see to it that I will drink it all at the end of the day, that way I can be sure that I really get enough water intake. I am doing this to my kids as well. We all have our own bottle and every night they individualy pour their own.

For me, it definately depends on the situation. There are days I do find myself drinking more water than most. I find that water does help in a lot of ways, and is Good for you, and I found if I cannot handle the Taste to add Crystal Light to it, and it is a whole lot better as well. I could never stand Tap water usually, so I have to drink bottled water, but most days I am sure I do not drink enough water here as well.

Hi friend, i drink 6 to 8 glasses of water at a day. If i am at home i consume more than that amount. I know it helps for good and easy digestion. But its not good for people having kidney problems. If i count tea and coffee too it 8 glasses. Thanks.

I know what you mean, I was the same until I started putting on weight! When I decided to do something with my weight problem I started to read a book on healthy eating and it highlighted the importance of drinking water. Now, as part of my regime I try to drink between 1-2 litres of water everyday, as well as natural fruit juices that I blend myself.

I don't drink as much as I should! I try to drink at least a 20 oz bottle or so, but I mix it with those Crystal Light lemonade packs to make it taste better. Don't get me wrong, I love water...but I love lemonade too, so it works out and I'm able to ingest more water when it's flavored.

Drinking water is easier for your system than other drinks since it doesn't need to be processed before use. You don't need to drink 8 glasses of water, that would only be true if you ate food with no water content, most people don't need nearly that much. If you're running a marathon or in some other strenuous activity then a sports drink is better since it rehydrates you and also gives you some of the sodium and other minerals you lose in your sweat.
Too much water can be fatal but not drinking enough is bad too. Every other liquid you drink must be filtered by your kidneys to extract the water so make it easy on yourself and drink at least a couple of glasses of water a day. Most juices and sodas also have sweeteners that can be bad for you if you overindulge.
Bottled water=tap water that's been filtered a bit so it's a waste of money unless the convenience is important to you. We only drink it on a long trip when we're not sure about the local tap water. At home, get a reverse-osmosis filter and you'll have water better than 90% of bottled water for about 1/100th the cost.
