Cell phone - Cell phone...
India

According to me, i am holding the same Cellphone which has been bought in the year 2005, Since my usages are very limited, i have no need to change the cell phone. Hardly i will use my cell phone between 5 and 10 minutes in a week, thats all my usages. For this usages, it don't require to change my cellphone so far.. It works very good as of now.. But My husband has been changed his mobile sofar around 6 to 7 times, because he was using the mobile around 6-8 hours in a day.. he used to have a couple of other battery which has been charged, because he supposed to change the batter once in a day, where ever he is not able to charge his mobile. What about you friends, so far how many times did you change your cell phones, due to the model changes or any problem in your existing cell phones.. etc.. Post your comments..

This is sort of a tough question, chennai_b02, because I first bought a "car phone" in a case in the late 80s, I think. If I got a new phone every 3 years since then, I've probably had about 7 of them. Of course, the styles, sizes, and features have changed radically since my first phone. This is an interesting discussion.

My current phone is the third one I owned. I started using cell phones in 2000, but it was actually my brother's phone. My very first one was bought in 2001, then I bought a new one in 2004. The phone I am using will turn one year old in September 16. The first one I had (Nokia 3210), I could say was the toughest one I have owned because the second one didn't last very long (I had to go to the technician to have it fixed every month until I realized I have been wasting too much money for the upkeep). I used that 3210 until I bought my current phone, not because it was already out of style, but because I accidentally dropped it in a bucket of water while using the rest room. The one I am using (Sony Ericsson K800i) is by far the best I had because I loved photography, and this phone don't fail me whenever I wanted to take a picture and I didn't bring my digital camera.

wow that's a pretty tough question for me. i've been using mobile phones for more than 10 years. a rough count puts it at more than ten. my first phone is an ericsson 388. then i changed to the model 688 under the same brand. since then i've changed phones almost every year, same times twice in the same year. however, i've had my current mobile phone for the past two years and more. it's really serving me very well and takes care of all my needs. think the next time i change phone will be when the apple iPhone is available in my country. cheers ;p

Well I was very attached to my first cellphone which was just about the most basic model you could get. This was in 2001. I loved it because it was so easy to use, and all you could do was make calls, send texts and play a few basic games. Then when that broke my requirements for a new one was that it had to be just as simple. That one was ok too, but it kept crashing. Then I changed to a slightly more extravagent model as it came as part of my new mobile phone contract. It had a camera on, which was a really new innovation for me, lol! It had a lot of other features too, but I didn't use them. Then I got used to the camera which was a pretty good one. So when my phone company offered me another upgrate last year I made sure that I got one with a good camera, and the phone I have now is a lot more sophisticated than my original one, and I'm glad, as I now know how to use a lot of the features! So, in all I've changed my phone 4 times. I think it's fine to have had the same phone since 2005. If it suits your needs, and yours sounds like it does, then that's perfect.

hi chennai! wow. your husband must have a lot of money to afford changing cellphones a lot of times. i have only changed my cellphone thrice since the year 2000. the first time was a needed change. it was my first cellphone, a Bosch model, and i lost in a taxi so i had to buy a new one. my second cellphone was a Nokia 3310. it lasted for almost four years until i decided to buy a new one. i bought a new Nokia model, forgot its model, when i was already working. it lasted for almost two years. i gave it to my sister. my mother had a new cellphone, a Nokia 6101 given to her by my cousins in the United States. she didn't know how to use it so she gave it to me. until now it is still my cellphone, i think i've been using it for more than two years now. i'm thinking of buying a new model with a bigger memory capacity, a better camera, with a music player.

I only have one cellphone. That one was given to me by my sister. Since i don't really have any usage with it. I give it to my brother. So, until now i don't have any new cellphone. I'm thinking of buying a new one in the near future. But you can expect me to stick to one cellphone only. I don't like changing it many times.

I have changed six cell phones since I started to own a cellphone in year 2001. There were several reasons why I changed my cellphone. I still remembered my first cell phone was stolen on the first day I charged it. Then I changed to a second one. After that, I changed to the third one because of trend. Just recently, I changed to my seventh cell phone, because the sixth cell phone was not functioning well.

sony ericsson z610i - sony ericsson z610i in rose pink
the current phone that i'm using is my 5th haha. i wish i could buy a new mobile phone but alas, due to my budget i'm not able to. besides my phone is still good etc so i guess it's not really necessary to buy a new phone anyway. i've been using my current phone for a year and a half already. no plans to change as i'm a bit tight on money, would rather spend my money on something else instead. so i'll probably use mu phone for quite sometime!

I started with a motorola v180 when we got the plan. I upgraded at our chance for the free upgrade to an LG CU300. I will be upgrading again 8/1. We've had the plan for 3 years now so I guess I'm averaging about 1 a year, however... I'm having major issues with the phone I have now. It will shut off by itself when it wants (even WHEN on the charger)... the alarm doesn't always work... things like that.
