i'm new to the ps3 what games do you recomend?

I personally have never owned a Playstation 2 or a Playstation 3 but my brother currently owns both and he loves them,and from what he has told me I would suggest any of the Final Fantasy games because he loves those,and I would also suggest any of the Metal Gear Solid games because he also loves those,and I would also suggest Devil May Cry 3 because he said that game is awesome and has a lot of different weapons you can use.

lol omg I definatly recommend Resistance 2 ... It is by far one of the best games I have played (of course MGS4 was a pretty awesome game as well ...)

I think a MUST play for any PS3 owner that likes shooter is RESISTANCE: FALL OF MAN, if for no other reason than to be prepared for the sequel that will be coming out. Resistance 2 is going to be a HUGE game!

Well I played Assasin's Creed on PS3 and it's a really good game. I liked Resistance:Fall of Man too, shooter:).Ohh and Heavenly Sword too, another great game:). Hope you will enjoy one of this games.. :)

okay for the Ps3 you should check out Resistance fall of man which will soon have a sequel resistance 2 (and then one that takes place between these for the psp called retribution) as well as warhawk. the thing is warhawk has no single player its all multi-player. um some of my friends think that GTA IV, MGS 4 and devil may cry 4 is good. and those are all shooters. oh soon there will be a naruto game thats pretty good (check out the demo) and another shooter is Ratchet and Clank future: tools of destruction. for the ps2 you should check out any of the ratchet and clank games, as well as time splitters: future perfect. as for rpg try champions of norrath and its sequel champions: return to arms. another one is tales of the abyss. and thats all i got for you

Good games on the PS3 include Resistance for shooters, Metal Gear Solid 4, Assassin's Creed, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted for action and adventure type of games. GT5: Prologue for racing...And the big titles I think will be out around 2009 and 2010. The PS3 is still fresh, having so many untaped potential...But eventually it will rule again. I think Eternal Sonata will be released this August or September, and that is one good RPG. On the PS2, there are many RPGs to choose from, most of which are niche games. I will recommend that you try out Baroque, the Persona 3, the Digital Devil Saga series(even if I hate it personally because of the demonic theme it still has good RPG elements), other stuffs from Atlus, and then Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy X, X-2 and XII(although game mechanics are kind of different), Radiata Stories, Star Ocean 3 and Valkyrie Profile 2, and Dragon Quest, all from Square Enix. There are still others not mention, but all of them are worth trying. hmm...Mana Khemia. And Atelier Iris if you want strategy RPGs. Hope I helped.
