Baby boom again!

A lot of people from where I work are pregnant. It seems like everyone is getting pregnant nowadays. I don't know about you, but these days are definitely not the time for me to get pregnant. With the oil price increasing every week, I wouldn't be able to afford the cost of another pregnancy, let alone another child to provide the basic necessities for.

you know it is amazing that I saw this on the news just yesterday...... Yes, we have another baby boom up on us... they reported this just yesterday on the evening news... anyway, you have to remember that we never know what the future holds... just like if you planned to have a baby at what you thought was the most perfect time of your life and after the baby was here then the drama hit... you just never know.. everything could turn out fine... if you want a baby then have a baby if you think you are prepared... if we wait for the world to change we will be waiting forever.... instead we can bring children into this world and love them and protect them the best that we can.. and we can hope that they grow up to be the people that DO change the world into a better place..... besides, there are a lot of pros that come along with this... as reported on the news... :)

child is a give from god. We can't refuse the give like that but in this time situation its better not to get pregnant or you will stuck in the middle of financial issue. Oil issue nowday have given burden to all people. If the government don't take any further step. all of us will leave on the street.

It depends really on yer current status and how you got pregnant in the first place. If it was something planned, great! If yer single, financially unstable, immatured, too self-preoccupied, if you were raped, etc. etc. then I reckon it's all too easy to resent or even consider not continuing with it.
--and yeah, I agree, babies, kids, children, lil' angels, whatever you prefer calling them, are indeed a blessing. A miracle in itself even. But that's not really the issue. ON a broader perspective, no matter if the whole world decides to get pregnant, as long as they think they want it, they can handle it, they're going to be responsible, they will love these children whether or not they turn out as they expect them to be -- then "IDEALLY," baby boom is not really an issue, oil price increasing or not. (Heck, walk or use a bike or car pool or stop smoking/drinking/splurging too much... as the saying goes, if there's a will, there's a way!) :P

My cousin is actually pregnant. Other than her I don't know anyone personally that is pregnant. She is due in January. She's excited about having a baby. I wouldn't say it is time for me to get pregnant either, I am only 20 and not really ready for a baby yet. I just hope everything goes well with my cousin.

Yes, it does seem like a lot of people are getting pregnant. Given the current economic situation in this country and the tenuous nature of many people's finances, it doesn't seem like the best idea for many.
