TRue LoVe oR ObSesSioN

The difference of true love and obsession is the capability to let go of the most important person in your life. It is about being able to smile and pretend that everything is alright, because you know he is already happy with someone else. It is about the power to free someone you wanna keep all your life. If you truly love somebody you would not restrict him to find his own happiness. But when you are just obsessed with someone you become selfish. You would only want that person to be yours regardless if he don't want to be with you. You would eventually try to force yourself into his life, without considering how he felt about you. And what happen is that you become self-centered, you would only think of your own happiness. When it's true love, nothing else matters but the happiness of that person you love. You would sacrifice your own happiness just to see him happy. You would continue to wait and pray in silence that someday he would come back. But you will never do anything to prevent him from enjoying and living his life the way he wanted to.

I dated an obsessed person I can tell you from experience that it was very unhealthy. They watched every move I made who I talked to, didn't trust me especially around other men and tried to distance me from my family. That is not love, but a sickness. I eventually broke up with this individual and realized that I was missing out on life. True love is with two individuals in a trusting, caring healthy relationship where each person allows the other to just breathe. That is the way it should be. Obsession is like something out of that movie, "Fatal Attraction". It is never good.

Obsession is like a crush, but mostly more important or rather intense. Love is a feeling that is very hard to explain but very easy to tell that it's true love.
