I have a to do list and almost always I cant do some of them and sometimes forget to write them down. BUt I have said to myself to try to stick to my to do list coz it makes me do things in an orderly maner and to make sure that the day wont be wasted. I just put a check mark ont he things that I have completed. How about you mylotters, do have a to do list? Do you stick and follow it? have a nice day and enjoy mylotting.

I make lists all the time. Usually, when I have a lot to do throughout the day, I will make a list, so I dont forget to do something and then I just cross off the things I have done that day and do the rest the next day. Also, if I am going somewhere, like on vacation or somewhere important I will also make a list so I know what to bring and to make sure I have brought it. I actually love making lists because I feel more organized and then I dont have to leave the house feeling as if I forgot something or need something else. This way, I know 100% that I brought whatever I need and that it is with me. I actually bought a booklet for making lists. It was so worth buying it!

Yes, thats true, its hard to travel when you forget the important things that you should be bringing. It amkes it more expensive coz when you forget something theres a tendecy of buying it and its not a wise idea coz you already have that item and just because of carelessness you have to buy again. Thank you for sharing my friend.

I try to make my to do list every night before going to bed so I have it ready for in the morning. I have found that this really helps with getting to sleep as I am adhd and will lie awake thinking for hours about all that I need to get done, either the following day or just in general. I have also found that it helps to make several lists with different timelines, for example I have a daily, weekly, monthly and in general lists. This works out really well for me and I use them in conjunction with Outlook and my cell phone where I set reminders. I have to use lists, otherwise I forget what needs to be done and I also get sidetracked way too often.

Thats also good to make it in the evening, me i do it during 4am when I wake up for my morning devotion. It helps coz my mind i still fresh from sleep and its eaiser to remember the things to do for the day and list it. God bless!

We have different ways and our lifestyles as well. there are also times that I hate doing house work chores but most of the time I do it because I know I will be the one who will suffer in the end.

I don't have a to-do list unless there is an important event coming up, and there are certain things I have to do to prepair for it. When I was working in Australia as Credit Manager, I used to have a to-do list. It was needed when you and your staff had deadlines to meet.

The greater responsibility we have the more we have to list them and try to accomplish it.

i make a to do list alot but half the time i don't remember to follow it! Mine tends to be more of a constant to do list instead of a daily one. i will just keep adding do it and scratching off the stuff i get done. then when i run out of room i'll start a new one on a new piece of paper. if there was still stuff on the list i'll copy it to the new piece of paper.

HEhehe, thats the problem with me also. I make a to do list then when I go out I forget to bring it along thats why I just do what comes to mind. Im not using a piece of paper, but im using a note book.LOL Have a nice day and take care!

Wow, thats good. That I will have to practice coz when its listed on the mind it should be there always and also learn not to depend on the list that I usually have.

I have started making to do lists more. I find I need them or else I won't get anything done. I am terrible disorganized. I don't know where to start when I'm taking on a major task like house cleaning. It helps if I break it down into parts, like, cleaning out the junk room, cleaning the bathroom, etc.

Its also nice to have a systematic way of cleaning the house coz if not you will end up staring and never finishing them up. Happy cleaning and have a nice day.

Depending on my schedule I either have a daily or a weekly to do list. Things that can't wait or be postponed go on the daily list. Things that I want to accomplish at some point go on the weekly list. Of course I'm not perfect and sometimes it's easier to cross a task off the weekly list when I should be more focused on the daily one. I think having lists helps me keep track of tasks I need to complete. I would forget something if it wasn't on the list. My only problem is losing the list which is why I keep it in electronic format so I can always refer to it.

I don't have a list like that. Maybe I should. But I do have a specific order of things when I have to go run errands. I always try to schedule the time and route to make the best use of time and gas.

I could have. SHould have :)But I don't usually have a daily to do list :) It could probably remind me of things I need to do and that end up forgetting, but then again, the times that I did make a daily to do list I ended up forgetting all about it so it didn't do me any good either:):) I guess if there is something tat I really need to remember my best bet is to write it on a sticky note and stick it on my monitor. That way I'll remember:):)

I guess that would be a problem of course. I am lucky. If I"m at home I'll stick it on my monitor of course, and at work nobody else uses mine so it works as well :)

Right now, I don't have a daily to-do list. And I should get one for each day! Just yesterday I was wondering why I didn't get more done. And now I know why! Without a list, I forget the things I need to do! Thanks for the great idea!

I've started a daily to do list again, along with weekly/general, as I feel I do much more when I do this.. :) There's an approach called 'Simpleology' that I found online, & it suggests doing a daily 'braindump' to get rid of the thoughts & 'to-do's' in one's head, & there's the GTD approach ('Getting Things done') that many people seem to find helpful too.. I have a combination of those, though I'm still tweaking the system & learning what would work best.. :) Shopping with a shopping list is soo much easier!! Thanks for the thread cause it's helping me be more motivated with my lists too!! :)

The advantage of having a list is that you just buy what you need and you can be very organized in buying that means saving time and effort and also saving money as well.

Yes. I have a daily to do list every day of the week. Sometimes I get everything done on it and sometimes not. whatever I do not get done on the list, gets added to the next daily list and so on. I mark off my daily things also. Sometimes there is never enough time to get to everything though. I think I make my list too long to begin with.

Hi Zel, When I was working, I need to have a list so since I am naturally forgetful! So, to be guided and to make sure I can do what I want and need to accomplish, I will prepare to my list! In most cases, I am sticking to it not unless there are changes that I need to consider..due to weather, occasion or schedules! Now that I have no work, I will just go with the flow..LOL! I mean it's easy to follow the daily routine, not much changes and not much appointments! LOL!

I should have a daily to do list, but I do not and as a result I never do half the things that I know I should do. I really need to write myself one for each day but I always think that I will remember and get it done. Of course I do not and then I have to do it another day.

Yes, I do have a board in my kitchen so that it is automatic to write it on board so I will not forget in time of my grocery timing, to be more frequent in things and in my budget.
