What time did you set your alarm clock?

I set my alarm to 4am. Its the time that I wake up in the morning to start the day with a morning devotion and reading my bible. My spiritual leader told me that the best way to start the day is to start it with God and listening to God's word through the Bible. At first it was really a struggle, 4am is still an unholy hour for many but have tried this since march and now it hs become a lifestyle. I am praying that I will continue this routine till the day I die.
How about you mylotters what did you set your alarm?
Have a nice day and take care!

Please not that early!Although it's a real good time to start the day....start with GodMy alarm goes on at 5:30,starts cooking breakfast and lunch/snack for my schooling kid.He goes to school between 6:45 and 7.So ample time to prepare him and have some review on their lessons before he goes to school.Happy day!

Hi Zelmarq! When I was still single, I have my alarm set at 3 am so I can have this hour with God but when I got married, it was really hard for me to keep that time to commune with the Lord. I don't set a definite time anymore. As soon as I wake up, I spend some time with God and before I go to bed, I set another time for Him. And during the whole day, I have a few minutes or sometimes a few seconds to just greet Him and give Thanks or sometimes, just whisper to Him, to help me! And I am so glad to know that you do wake up very early to spend more time with Him!
Take care and God Bless!

Wow that's great. I should really appreciate you, I feel bad about myself because I can not get up during 4 o clock until unless my baby wakes me up , I thought of reading Bible several times early in the morning but that wont be possible with me, I am lazy if I dont get good sleep I can not do my work perfectly , I always read Bible before I go to sleep sometimes I skip that as well, you have opened my eyes atleast from today I try to read Bible regularly atleast once in a day, tomorrow is sunday I am planning to go to church. Thank you!

We have ours set at 5am cause my husband has to get out and on the road early to avoid the traffic. I think it is great that you can start the day in peaceful positive devotion. Good for you.

when we had to get the roomie to work at 7, it was 5:30, now she has to be at work at 9 and its 7:30. When I had to be at work at 7, it was 5:30, and I'd get there before 7 because I like to eat there rather than try and be quiet and fix something when everyone else was trying to sleep here.

Four am or seven am is not on my alarm time as I only set the time if I have an early appointment.
So I just sleep and wake each day when I have to and can wake even as early as three or four. Isn't life wonderfull.
Have a great day from Deeeky

Wow you get up early, I wish I could get up that early and feel good I could get my cleaning done then! On a school day, my alarm is set for 7.20am and then of a weekend or holidays I either turn my alarm off or I will set it for about 8am. I am not one for early rising at all, and now the kids are getting older it is a lot better!

I tend to sleep no later than 5pm.
lol, are you "my lotters" in shock? I'm on constant night shift, thats why I sleep during the day. Wish I could sleep longer mind you. I usually only get a couple of hours. And I don't set my alarm, I am always up on time. My body tends to know the time of day it is.

I am not much of a reader but I do own a Bible. I read it every now and then. I have God in my heart every day of the week though. There are alot of things in the Bible which are hard for me to understand also. I never have to set an alarm clock anymore. I have a mental one that wakes me up daily. I work nights. I think it is great that you read your Bible daily. I know God understands why I haven't done that. I do read some of it occasionally though when I find the time and have the desire to read.

I normally set my alarm at 6 in the morning. But that is only during schooldays because I need to go to work. On Sundays (at least for this semester), my alarm would be set at 8 in the morning unless I have plans for early Sunday mornings. There are times when I actually forget to set my alarm.

So you get up at 4am simply because someone told you should so you could read the bible? WOW, you really take them literally don't you? Do THEY get up that early I wonder? Four am seems a bit extreme, but hey if you like it whatever.

Usually my alarm is set to 7:00AM, but when I am on holidays I enjoy sleeping in to 11:00AM and later. I really would like to wake up earlier on my holidays so I can make the most out of my day, but my house has terrible insulation and it gets really cold. Often I tell myself "I'm gonna wake up nice and early tomorrow" and the next day I'm thinking "Ok, it's too cold, I'm gonna go back to sleep now". Some day I'll break out of the habit.
