Yes, I have read the book, a couple times. I can not imagine what life might have been for Anne and her family as they were stuck secretly in such a small living space. And to think that they couldn't wander out of the room they were in, for fear of being caught by the Nazi's. The story itself is a story of survival, strength and courage. I am sure Anne and her family were very scared, I know I would have been.

I have read the book DIARY OF ANNE FRANK. It's a great account of a young girl's experiences in hiding from the Nazi's during World War II. Throughout the duration it took me to read this book, I not only sympathize with Anne and her family members and close friends who lived with her in the attic, but as a writer, Anne enabled me as a reader to empathize with her and all of them, While Anne was telling the story through her own eyes, I felt like she and I were one element, because they way she conveyed her thoughts and feelings allowed me to connect with her on an emotional, psychological, and spiritual level.

I've read this book during college. It's a sad story and it moved me a lot. But I admired Anne Frank for being hopeful that someday, the war would end and everything would be peaceful again. She believed that men are born naturally good. Although she did not live long to experience freedom, but she left us with an inspiring story and that is written in her diary.

It's required reading in school where I come from. I think it was harder to be in such a small space with so many people than not have much to do. It's amazing they weren't found earlier with the business being right there, too.

i can't imagine needing to go to those lengths to survive, being a free canadian citizen, but i commend the spirit of this family and others to survive to fight another day where others gave up and joined the masses. may their courage and will to live carry forward to all who find themselves the subject of abuse!
