That the myLot population is now at 136,757? A month or so ago it was well over 140,000 what do you think happened? Do you think many people have quit or myLot has cleaned up its list of inactive members and removed them?

I never noticed that. I could go check, I guess, cause I have a few who have left for one reason or another. Maybe they just removed everyone with zero posts.

Hi white, I don't think they deleted anyone from here because i have maybe 10 pages of people that have been inactive for a long time some that have been here a year and have only posted maybe 20-30 posts.. Well I am not certain why the numbers has changed all we can do is wait and see what mylot has been doing.. So far they have been doing a wonderful job on making the site a better look, only one thing they need to fix is the login stuff, alot of people are being logged out after a certain time being here and i happen to be one of them...

I noticed it too. I think they just deleted old members and folks that weren't active anymore. That's only a guess though. I know that a lot of the older members aren't active anymore. Unlike you and I who seem to be diehards, lol. Although, I admit, I don't post nearly as often as I used to. Happy posting, my friend.

I don't post as often either. It seems as if I see the same topics I have responded to many time already. That seems to be a down side of being a long time member. Nice to know some of us are still around.

I noticed that, too. I think there's a combination of factors. MyLot cleared out inactive people, but also banned several fromm the site. I believe they were sort of taking advantage of others, claiming they'd do a referral exchange and only accepting some without presenting any in return. A few people quit, because they thought myLot would be something other than what it is. One guy said he expected to be able to quit his job because he'd make so much on myLot -- poor dilallusioned soul!

Hi whiteheather that's a great observation from your part.I don't suppose that people leave mylot and might be that mylot has cleaned up as they were saying they that upgrading of the site is taking place. They have changed the look, and colors have been added to the buttons like for Preview response, post response and so might be the cleaning up of the members is also a part of the upgradation part.Cheers MOIN

I didn't notice this. Although I'm sure a few mylotters have quit, and some have been banned, I think most likely the majority of the posters missing have just been inactive for more than a year or something and mylot cleaned them up. That would make sense to me. I just can't see so many people quitting or being banned to come up with such a large number subtracted from the population of mylot.

And we always thought the figure never changed! lol it is now at 136,887 so I guess it is constantly updating. I wonder if they are taking inactive users out of the equation or if that many people have had accounts deleted or banned? xxx

I'm not sure what is going on but from time to time I spot discussions about someone getting someone kicked off... I think for whatever reason people do loose their privileges here. xoxoxoxo

Hi Whiteheather yes I did notice that. wow what a drop. wonder ifa lot of people have quit or perhaps mylot did remove' inactive members. I think some have quit due to too negative 'remarks posted on their discussions. these troll or whatever'they are have really chased a few wonderful old'time mylotters away. and thats just plain sad. To let the trolls push you out. I for one will not give them the satisfaction.I have mylotted religiously and have come from a 6 to an 8 and lately I have seen my ratings go up a point or so every few days 'so must be doing something right. The thing is I will not give the trolls the pleasure of seeing me quit. cheers.

I think they started taking out some of the trash. Not that all these people were bad, I think though a lot join with some vision of getting rich and soon they realize that it wasn't meant to be that kind of site. They lose interest and their accounts stay inactive for too long. Guess it helps free up space by cleaning the house occasionally.
