Since I was small,my dad is the one who cooks in my house even now still. My mom knows how to cook and she cooks better than my dad. but my dad pampers my mom too much,so he takes up all the jobs at home. I am so glad that I have such a great father. My dad always cook simple yet healthy dishes. I like his cooking. I always learn from him and he is so great. How about you? Who do the cooking in your family? Your dad or your mom? Please share your comments, thanks.

I do the majority of cooking in our house (the mom). My husband knows how to cook, but his work schedule doesn't allow him much time to do much cooking.

Before I was married, my mother used to cook in the family. But if my mother was not well or she had to travel to meet her parents leaving me in my father's care, he would cook and honestly he cooks better than my mom. Don't get me wrong...my mom's a wonderful cook too...but maybe because my dad doesn't cook often and it's something different, I used to think it was great. Now I am married and I do all the cooking in the house. My husband can't cook at all and he prefers that I make tea too because he says the tea he makes does not turn out good. And after a couple of his experiments in the kitchen which left it like a disaster zone and gave me more work, I prefer that he keeps out of the kitchen and leaves the cooking to me.

Thanks for the comment. Sometimes men just know how to mess up the kitchen. Instead of hoping them to help,I think it's better for us to do all the works. This is very much applicable to my boyfriend, lol.

While growing up my mother or I cooked. my dad could cook but ugh!, fatty greasy stuff or just hot dogs and mac n' cheese. Now as an adult my husband and I take turns cooking. He likes to grill a lot and I have some specialties. We both have tried to learn to cook healthier, such as we drain the fat off the meat or cut it off before cooking.

Cooking is not a hard thing to learn as long you have a heart to learn it. I am also in the process of learning to cook better. Let's work hard together. Thanks.

WOW...your dad is terrific. Can i borrow your dad please? Just kidding. They say that the best cook is men. The greatest chef in the kitchen is men. Men can equal the womans expertise in the kitchen.

Hi friends, my mom has taken this department of our house since when she became a part of it. My mom cooks for us an no doubt she is excellent in it. Sometimes, I wonder, how many items she can cook. Almost in every week, she surprizes us with a new delicious preparation. My dad is also a good cook indeed, but he is too lazy to cook actually. Sometimes, I and my dad try to help my mom in kitchen, but she prefers not to.

In our home we all do a bit of cooking. And everyone is a pretty good cook :) Hubby cooks often and he has very yummy recipes. My daughter is the one the cooks less because her work hours are in such a way that she is not home for most meals, but when she does it's worth :) MY son loves to cook with us and has some tricks up his sleeve as well, he comes up with really nice variations on some dishes. Mostly I cook, but anyone else will as well, which is nice and gives me a break sometimes :)

In my house, my husband and I both do the cooking. While I was out of commission with my back, my husband did most of the cooking. Sometimes the kids would cook, but mostly it was my husband. After my surgery and recuperation, I have been doing the cooking again since my husband is the one working and bringing home the money. Last week my in-laws came to live with us for a little bit and they will do some of the cooking as well. Mostly my MIL will help with cooking tremendously, but certain dishes are left to my FIL to do. Like yesterday, we had a huge pot of beans with a ham bone in it. This is my FIL's specialty so we let him make it throughout the day. I made the cornbread to go with it. Tonight, I am on strike because my back is really bothering me so someone else will have to cook. I figure with five other people living here though, someone will cook instead.

Well, I'm the mom in my family. I love to cook, and I love trying out new recipes. I have four kids that are somewhat fussy eaters so I don't go out to far on a limb because I don't like to see things go to waste. My husband does some of the cooking but only when the grill is going. We use our Weber grill all year long.

cooking in the house is the great way of showing how important your family is.. because if you do cooking in the house, you are investing your full knowledge, and the techniques you have in cooking and also it is the romantic way to do for your children and to your partner as well.

I do all the cooking unless I am not home and then my husband will do it. It is just the two of us and when we had the boys at home, I did a lot of casseroles as they were cheap. I am not into simple. When I was young my mom and dad did the cooking equally. My mother was good at desserts, but my dad was not. His cakes and cookies would have made good bombs but he was an army cook and knew about stews, cabbage rolls and stuffed peppers. My mother was good at yorkshire pudding, toad in the hole, and roast beef. I love Italian, and I have no idea who I learned that from, possibly on my own.

i do all the cooking in our home. heck, i do most all of EVERYTHING in our home. cooking is just one more chore as far as i am concerned. i have a weight problem so if i could stay away from the cooking/kitchen all together it would help me greatly but since i am the only who cleans the kitchen and prepares the meals i have no choice. some people like to cook but i am not one of them. i do it because i have to. i guess maybe that is it though, perhaps if i actually wanted to do it instead of having to do it i might enjoy it.
