I quit drinking sodas five years ago and haven't looked back. I don't recommend the way I stopped drinking them though lol. I had a tooth go bad and during the two weeks that I was on antibiotics and then had the tooth pulled soda didn't taste good. I was in so much pain that I didn't notice any withdrawl symptoms from the caffiene. I drink only water or juice now with maybe a coffee once in a blue moon (not even once a month most months). Do you drink sodas? Have you recently quit drinking sodas?

Thats really good for you. I have not able to quit drinking soda yet, but I really try to drink less. I just stopped drinking soda at home. But when I eat outside, I tempt to drink soda. Specially in summer I like to drink home made lemonade.

I stopped drinking soda and caffeine a couple of years ago. Now, I can't believe I used to drink it. I accidentally drank some caffeinated coffee a couple of weeks ago and felt like I was going to die. I was jittery, then had a horrible headache, had chills and then my stomach ached for 2 days. My body didn't know what to do with the caffeine anymore...I guess before I had just built up a resistance to it but now my body was saying "What the hell is this?!"

I have tried to stop and will for several weeks. But then, I don't know what happens. I drink one and it is like I am craving it all over again. I will drink it for a few weeks, then swear off. It is a vicious cycle..lol I drink 2-8 cups of coffee per day and have just started drinking iced tea again. I don't mind the caffeine, it is the carbonation and sugar that I don't want to put into my body. I just love the taste of soda though...so, I don't know. I wish that I could quit forever.

I stopped buying sodas and juice a year or so back when I had no money. I thought that if I didn't have it in the house it would encourage us to drink water. In my case it didn't work very well as I drink tea or coffee instead, but its far better for the kids who drink water or milk. I haven't started buying them again, but we do drink them when we're out.

Goodness yes I drink soda. I actually wish to quit, but its so hard whenever you dont like the water in your town and I'm not the type to go buy bottled water. Its a waste of money and land space if you ask me. I have slowed my soda in take down a bit and gotten to were its those Fuze drinks. I love those things. I also like to drink alot of orange juice.I know thats not that great for you and your stomack, but i love it. even better with vodka sometimes ;) lol anyway, I'm sure that if I stopped drinking as much soda then I would lose some weight as well. We'll see and I'll keep you posted Gizelle

Florida water is nasty. So I bought a filter for my faucet. Now the water has zero taste just like I like it. I can't stand the thought of drinking straight tap water here. For one thing the water has an odor also.

Hi sweetdesign, I have tried to stop drinking soda so many times. I stop for awhile, but then I always go back to it. I try no to drink juice for a few days, then soda for a few days. I just am not happy without my caffeine fix. I love diet cola! When I don't have it I miss it sooooo much! I can't say I'm not happy drinking my fruit punches, but it's just not the same. I guess I'm doomed to be a diet cola addict-shame on me!lol

I haven't totally quit drinking sodas, but about 15 years ago or so I cut WAY back. I acutally did quit drinking sodas for a while, but I do have one every so often. I used to drink about 6-8 diet Cokes each day. For some reason one day I didn't have one at all during work. When I got home I had the WORST headache I could hardly move. I downed 2 diet cokes (not even cold yet) to get that caffeine into my system and calm my head down. That didn't work and nothing else did either. I decided I had to wean myself off them and cut out the last one of the day and replaced it with water. I kept doing that, cutting out one more every couple days. After a while I was down to just that first one in the morning and one day I decided to not buy any more and quit drinking them all together. Probably 6 months or so later I had a diet Coke and it tasted soooo good. I figure I had grown so used to them that I didn't really even taste them any more. I probably have one every couple months now but water is mostly what I drink.

I pretty much gave up drinking soda several years ago. I still have one on rare occasions if it comes with a meal when eating out, but more often than not will still usually just have water with lemon. I take in enough calories as it is, I don't need the empty calories from soda, and I don't like all the additives with the sugar substitutes that don't do any good.

I have really cut back on soda sense I started my diet a few months ago. I was doing really well drinking water and sport drinks (for added flavor). Well, I recently tried diet soda, and I've aquired a taste for it, and now I'm back on the soda kick. My face is breaking out again, and I think I'm going to limit myself to one a day, and water and G2 the rest.

I don't drink sodas either.I gain weight easily drinking all that sugar.Your tooth ache is probably a sign to make you stop drinking sodas.I read that sodas dissolve bones leading to osteoprosis.that's why I stopped drinking sodas.

oh man, I wish I could stop drinking soda :( I can't live without it. I hardly ever drink water which I know is bad but soda's just so good that it's so hard to give up. Sometimes I feel like meals taste better with soda. I should consider quitting sodas though. I really should
