Tagging earns you money?

Hi Guys,
I found out that tagging your discussion or comments you add or you start really earns you money in mylot?
I prefer not to tag sometimes and I found that though I do a lot of discussion my earnings were less but as soon as I started tagging my discussions based on the topic I open or the comments I made, it really earned me money.
Is my understanding right?
Please advice.

As far as i know that tagging helps others find similar discussions. I never heard that tagging also earns. May be it may earn. But i don't think so.

I think so, I always tag discussions now, but before when I skipped them I got less I think. It's really hard to tell which gets you more money and which doesnt. I mean you'd have to record everything you did on here just to make an acurate assumption, and who does that?

Yeah Thats true. You need to keep track of what you did and find everything by some assumptions. hmmm..

Yes I do agree but if that is the case then why do people who have around 200 posts and not even earned a $1 yet?

I haven't really noticed a difference, but I often skip the tags. I wasn't sure if anyone even used them for searching. Maybe I should start using them again.

I somethime tag the discusions and sometimes not because i think tagging the discusion is a waste of time which resulted in less earning from this site.So i started taggin the discsuions and i m earning good money.Its all about participating in this site to the fullest and making money.

I have always tagged from day 1 but yes I think it does earn you more. It is all about full participation on this site, and anything extra you can do aswell as posting earns. I try to add at least 3-4 tags per comment and also remember to rate the comments in the discussion.

wow i have never thought of that. i always thought the tagging is just some annoying thing. it has never occurred to me that i can earn more by adding tags! this is really interesting information. thanks for bringing this up. i'll definitely start tagging my discussions and responses. cheers ;p

hi friend,
frankly i will tell you that tagging does not pay you any amount directly but it pays you indirectly. i will explain you here.
if you don't tag your discussion then your discussion will not be listed when somebody do search for same kind of discussion to respond.so you are in loss here. where as if your discussion is tagged by you and by other's also then many people can see your discussion listed in similar discussion and they will post response and indirectly you will earn from their tagging habit. so always do tag discussion.

Tagging does search easy and it gets into your post. This makes mylot more success as people will get to know about mylot when they do research on something outside and this earns mylot some money so do we.

A tag is something like a search string. If a user who wants to search for a query in mylot, he will give his search string in the mylot search box. And whatever user enters, if it matches this tag then that message will be shown to the user. Tag especially makes your search easy. Thats why tagging always makes money as it is main point of contact.
