Am I the only one that misses the HUGE MESS and only sees the fallout?

I can think of about 3 times (off the top of my head, although I know there are more) when a "battle" has occurred here and I was totally oblivious to it. I don't know how I miss them. Well, maybe I do know... This last time I did see 2 of the very first posts that started the whole thing (I think) and I kinda skimmed them. But, those discussions really bore me so I don't read the whole thing and all the ensuing responses. I guess that's how I miss what happens and only find out about it all after the fact. If I had read the entire discussion about how the one myLotter was apologizing for breaking the rules I'm sure I would have seen some of the fighting. And if I had read the entire discussion about the other myLotter who made the statement that wrong is wrong (I think that was the gist of the discussion) I would have seen more of the whole mess. I just really don't care for those discussions and that's probably why I never know what's going on until after it's over with. Am I the only one that's missed all the "good" stuff and am sitting here scratching my head saying "What the heck happened???"

Your not alone in missing those types of discussions. I haven't been on too much lately. So I don't see many discussions. I tend to steer away from those type of discussions anyway because I don't like getting involved with those types of discussions. I have way too many email notifications in my inbox that I can choose from to respond to discussions such as these. Those type just get deleted and I move on to the next one. Have a great day!

They do usually get deleted if it turns into a heated discussion. Which doesn't help any of us at all.

No, you are not alone, I too am pretty clueless in that department. I go to sleep and everything is fine I wake up an people are being harassed by the mythical creatures we know as trolls. It is a mystery to me. People sometime break rules, there are a lot of rules and they can slip. Accidents happen. I guess I am too easy going.

I don't think it matters if you post through e-mail or right here on the site. Either way, I miss it.

You are not the only one. I am glad I am not involved in this one. I did see the discussion you are taking about a person having two accounts. I just decided to respond to it. I have seen some of the other responses to it and have chosen not to go there. I think we are better off not getting involved in these fights here at myLot. I do not like all the back biting why can't they be adults and leave each other alone?

Well, not everyone here is an adult. There are children (by age I mean, not by actions) and it's hard to tell sometimes if that's who we're dealing with. I'm kinda glad I miss it all too.

Yes, I do remember hearing about that story. It was umbelievable that someone (an adult no less) could take part in something like that. Yeah, I definitely think I need to tell people "Just grow up already!"

oh yea I was just posting about that last week because I was trying to figure it out myself and it seemed like a whole circle of friends were leaving together, but the feeling is mutual, you don't get it until after its done.

Sometimes I'm glad I don't get it until after it's done, but then again I'd like to know what's going on so I know how to avoid it myself!

I usually miss out on all the stuff too reiny, but maybe is is a good thing . I always just wonder where this one or that one has gone, then someone lets me know. This last one I am still not sure what the heck happened . I noticed a tag on this discussion of drama llama ..I was seriously wondering where he had gone , he usually stays right here in my house.

It seems like there's always drama around here, and I usually miss it. I guess that just leaves me time to get into the really good discussions :)

No, I did too, even though both of them were on my Friend list. I actually try to steer clear of some of the more dramatic stuff. I know some of the details, but have not seen the bashing discussions, etc. I am relieved to miss the good stuff.

I'm glad I didn't get any of the good stuff either, but it sure does leave you wondering sometimes. It's kinda like showing up at a family reunion to find out that Aunt Betty and Uncle Jim aren't speaking any more.

I'm glad I miss them because I really can't be bothered with crap like that unless if affects me directly. I've been MIA for a couple of months spending time with my son and family visiting and have only just come back to mylot. I have noticed a few people are not here anymore but not sure on the reasons. Oh well, life goes on.

Don't feel bad, I tend to miss all the fighting too. Most times though I catch them in the middle or at their tail end. So no you're not the only one left confused and head scratching. There have been a few times that I was actually pulled into a fight and had no idea what either parties were talking about. I was just sitting there like WTF. It's funny how these things happen.

I had someone start a fight with me once and I took the bait. Then a friend reminded me that we were here for fun, and I just let it go. Fortunately this person didn't hound me in other discussions. I have never seen that happen and hope I never do.

good day.. I have also seen a glimpse of the discussion, respond a couple of times regarding my view of the matter and moved on. No point in arguing really. I search for discussion either to learn something or give my opinion/knowledge about it. Didn't want to start an argument that would end up in a really big mess, hurt people and cause them to leave. This is a fun site so I rather enjoy myself in the company of the other members. Let's just have some fun.

Exactly - Entertainment value only. I like to have fun here too and have meaningful discussions. Yeah, sometimes we don't agree, but that's ok too - no reason to be nasty about it.

LOL So it's not just me! I have felt that way as well. But as my dad always says it's best to avoid altercations and it seems that you naturally do that, which is a wise course to follow. However it reminds me of news stories: they're only good AFTER they've gotten all the details and nitty-gritty out of the way. It's like checking out the highlights of a really good game. You're sorry you missed it but if you'd been there for the whole 8-hour ordeal you'd probably have been bored and fallen asleep and STILL missed the whole thing. ;) :) So, grab a bite to eat, watch the highlights and be glad you didn't have to play referee.
