I am a degreed Paralegal and am looking for a way to make money at home as my health is not in very good shape but don't want to live on Social Security Disability. I have tried many of these data entry emails sent to me and have found them to be schams. I have the ability and know how to do legal data entry, typing various different documents and the list could go on and on. I have tried finding information about grants to help me achieve working from home but they all want money to get the information. And most of the sites to get information about working from home want money also. I don't feel I should have to pay to work somewhere. Does any one know where I might find a legal and prosperous way to work from home doing data entry and typing or even some bookkeeping? I would appreciate any help I can get. Thank you in advance.

I am a virtual assistant and have worked from home for 5 years now. A virtual assistant is an independent contractor self employed person who performs a myriad of administrative tasks from home. I have a large array of clients in all fields. A VA can specialise in so many niche areas of work. Check out http://www.virtual-assistant-advice.com for more information on this growing industry as more businesses are reaping the benefits of using a VA's services. I wouldn't work any other way.

If you want to be hired by a company to do Legal Data Entry or just data entry, I have a complete list of articles on my blog at: http://bytemi.blogspot.com/2007/08/real-data-entrytyping-no-fees.html None of these companys will ask you for any money, you have to apply just like a real job.

Jobs like that are very rare. I've tried to find a work at home job and for me it didn't work out too well. I think the best thing is to call places in your area and ask if they offer work at home jobs. I knew a lady here in El Paso, that did her medical data entry at home for one of the hospitals in town. It's possible that a hospital would offer that. It never hurts to ask. The worst they can say is no.
