during your time alone... have you ever ask yourself, AM I HAPPY? (as in the true sense of the word "happy")... even if you laugh out load when you are with your friends or with your officemates, was it genuine happiness? when can we say that we are happy? is a happy word hard to find?

Hari! The word happiness is easy. But realizing it in our life is not so easy. There is one real happiness and way to realize it. Some saints say, that the pure love of God in our heart is the only happiness that lasts forever and gives real enojoyment to our soul. The vedic knowledge sais that chanting, singing and hearing the Holy Names of God is the only way of reaching this happiness in this Kali Age. Chanting the hare Krishna Mahá Mantra all the time: Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Ráma Hare Ráma Ráma Ráma Hare Hare The happines is so easy to reach. Just try it. Gouranga! (means be happy!) Ákos froma Hungary

Your topic has reminded me that I have been quite some times not being able to feel the genuine happiness. Of course it's true,it's easy to be sad than to be happy. Everyday I laugh with a whole bunch of colleagues. But after work, I will go home with tiredness and emptiness. Maybe all the laughters are just something we have been using as a way of communication between each other. I am quite fed up with this kind of life. Happiness? Maybe I should go for a vacation to seek for my genuine happiness from the bottom of my heart.

I just try to think that I'm happy even though there's no cause for happiness. I don't go looking for any true sense, or whatsoever. If I ask myself as to whether I'm really, REALLY happy or not, perhaps the answer will always be no. No person can be perfectly happy in this world. This is not heaven. But that doesn't mean that you need to be morose all the time. Perfect bliss is a hypothetical situation, which is not achievable. So I just try to keep myself bright and positive, whatever may be the situation. Cheers.

I will agree with you that happiness is hard to find in todays world for there dosn't to be much of it. I am happiest when I am with friends who are in the same good spirits I am and can have a good laugh along with me. I find happiness here on MyLot also for some on here can really make me laugh with thier stories. I would rather be happy for it gives me a better feeling than when I am feeling down it's a good pick me up.

You are right. Happiness is hard to find. Maybe there are few people here on earth who are successful in capturing happiness. But I'm not one of them.
