well.. not very long ago:-) We have a childrens program at church and you have to have lots of games in mind and hide and seek is the most common but they also like the hide and seek "sardines" game

What other games do you play with the kids? I tried to play 1 2 3 red light with her but I'm not sure if she got it just yet. We don't have enough people to play duck duck goose. I want to teach them to have fun and we can do it as a family. Never heard of hide and seek sardines.

a typical hide and seek is everybody hides except one who will seek. in sardines, one hides and everybody will try to seek him. When one of them finds the one whos hiding,
he should hide with him and not tell anyone. The game ends when everyone has found the one whos hiding.

Personally, it has been a long long time since I played Hide and Seek. I used to love playing this game too when I was growing up. That would be Fun playing with your kids especially if you could hide and try to have them find you. Just thinking about it, brings back so many fond memories.

It is so much fun playing with the kids. Alot of times I do have to come out b/c no one will find me and the little one will start crying for me lol. Its fun just to watch them walking around trying to find you peeking from your hiding spot. Alot of times I will call their names to help them find me but it still doesnt work.

I played this gAME in my childhood. I used to play this with my own brother & my cousin brother.our house is very big.it is a four storied building.it has many rooms where we can hide .so we had enjoyed a great time playing this game.thank you mflower for reminding me my childhood once again.

Its a great game and if your kids are bored or if your watching some kids its a good idea to play. when we were older we would play with all the lights off making it really hard or even blindfolding the seeker and once they caught us they had to guess who it was. Wow a four story house I bet that was alot of fun to hide in.

Hello mflower,
I have 3 kids of my own and just last week they had me play this game with them. I forgot how fun that game is. The look on there face when they find you is priceless. When I'm it I always take longer and when I see them I act like I do see them standing there. They think it is so funny when I do that. I think I really don't see them. With are youngest who is 11 months we play it he loves it. To be kids and not a worry in the world, to play all day long with are friends. Man I miss being a child. I don't think that game will ever get old.

lol nope I don't think it does get old. I would like to keep playing it with my kids. Mine are the same way. My 3 year old don't get that you have to be quiet and when you say I wonder where Katie is she will say I'm right here lol. It is priceless.

I am 55 years old and just a few months ago I was playing "hide and seek" with two of my nieces. We had great fun! Their mother came in and said "No wonder they like to stay with you, you play with them!" Of course I do. Haven't done that in a very long time, but it was great!

the last time i played it was when i was whatching my friends 5 year old boys a few months ago. they drived me crazy but it was fun, at the end of the day they were exausted along with me lol.

When your around some kids and they are bored its a great game to keep in mind. lol I forgot how much fun it is to play it. Nice family game for in the house. If they are teenagers wait until its dark and turn out all the lights you can even blindfold the person who is it. So fun.
